I have even more confidence in my major because the prerequisites for one of my geology classes has been waived, and also because I will get to do the required summer field camp as a result of the waived prerequisites for my structural geology class.

As for the relationship issue, I am still focusing on other Aspies, though.

Ah yes, I myself would idealy like to date someone close to me and understands why I am the way I am, only a HFA/aspie girl would do, unfortunatly their are far less of them avalible for every aspie man, and for that reason I have only dated NT's and suck at it, all well...

I wish ya luck man, but dont limit yourself, true love is more powerful then that, and someday if I can get my current relationship to progress I hope I find true love elsewhere, for now ill try my damndest and I sure hope u wont give up also, no matter how much energy, effort nessissary or how much failure feels, keep trying your hardest and learn.

Good Luck man, keep fighting the good fight.

There are no single Aspie women in the Wichita Falls/Lawton area, none in the Metroplex, none in Oklahoma City, not anywhere. And add to that her having to be liberal, non-asexual, and having to like South Park, and my chances are zero.

I wonder how many undiagnosed aspie women there are in those locations?

Maybe you could find one and try to make life easier for her.

She's looking for someone to "rescue" her.

You know it's not all about you, right?

:)

Which is probably true. Why not cast a wider net?

I have worked on casting a wider net, in that I am not limiting myself to a certain geographic area.

I wouldn't think those were big requirements...there should be alot of women that would meet those categories. I think many Aspie woman go undiagnosed though, I wasn't even aware of the word until I was in my 30's.... I just thought I was weird.

Whether it's because we adapt better in certain situations and no one notices.... or our quirks are attributed to other things like shyness or something I don't know....so I wouldn't limit yourself to "only" Aspie women.

How will I know if one is an Aspie just by looking at them? How do I find these people outside of a support group, whether online or in person?

That's the hard part unfortunately. :( Just look for people that share your interests, go places you normally go.... online and offline ...and hopefully while enjoying the things that you like you'll meet someone that likes the same things...maybe they'll turn out not to be an Aspie, maybe they'll have some Aspie traits instead...or at the worst they'll at least hopefully be on the same page.

Take a second look at the quiet ones sitting off to themselves taking stuff in when your out and about.

Honestly, it would be a heck of alot easier if we all wore descriptive t-shirts... That might be my game plan if I ever get brave enough to ever try it again, since I really stink at conversation somedays...."Single introverted 40 yr old, distracted by shiny things and flashing lights, likes to take things apart, enjoys quiet time, and memorizes numbers well...etc."

So I wouldn't attract much  ...but at least I might quite attracting what I don't want....which always seem to be very extroverted, loud and obnoxious.

I even followed advice I got from other Aspies as far as how to spot Aspies, and there are only two women at my college who have those characteristics, and both of them were already in relationships.

My definition of someone who is "liberal" is, basically, someone whose idea of fun is doing things that are legal in the U.S., but illegal in Saudi Arabia.

Someone on another forum suggested finding an anime club, in order to find Aspies. No such club exists at my school. In fact, nearly every club or organization at my school is either religious- or academics-based. Religious-based organizations are not good places to find people who are liberal.

A while back, I did a cross-section of people who have the same interests and beliefs as me--in terms of political views, do they like South Park, do they think it's ok to have sex outside of marriage (that is another big issue for me in terms of relationships)--and virtually everybody who had those same views was either an atheist or an agnostic.

I have considered applying to schools on the West Coast, taking a proactive approach. Unfortunately, the application deadlines for the University of Washington have already passed. I think there might be one school near San Francisco where I can still apply (before mid-December), but San Francisco is even more expensive than Seattle.

The only Pacific state that has lenient application deadlines is Hawaii, and that state is expensive as hell, and there are virtually no single, liberal Aspie women there.

I have about 2 1/2 years left.

It's mainly the sexual frustration in not having a relationship that's bothering me.
