This is the third post by me on this page. I think this says a lot about my temprement.

And this rant is huge.

Firstly, I would like to say that the people at Connexions have been very nice and have given me a lot of very helpful information, and that I'm very lucky that such a service exists in the first place, let alone that it's able to give me as much help as it has. What I'm going to say is just me being bitchy, and having a lot of irrational anger:

1. Don't tell me to go into medicine. Think about it. Can just about anybody go into medicine? You need to be a people person, have excellent communication skills, be able to cope with large levels of stress, be able to cope with seeing very distressing things such as people becoming severely brain damaged and children dying and seeing people who have been attacked or abused. Oh, and you have to be really smart. Do you think maybe that people who should be in this career have to have a good interest and dedication to it, rather than just go for it based on a suggestion from a career adviser, 2 months before they apply to university? Secondly, the reason I keep saying I want to go into research, and do a science degree is because I want to do just that: not do a medical degree and become a brain surgeon or something.
This whole thing really upsets me because you are throwing in my face that I cannot go into medicine. And I'd really like to be somebody else, and make that somebody else into a really great doctor. But that can't be me, at least not as I am now, and yes, I'm really touchy about it.

2. I know what Aspeger's Syndrome it. Otherwise, I wouldn't suspect I had it. You may not know what Asperger's Syndrome is, but that's not my problem. You do not need to Google it and tell me whatever you find on Google to make it look like you know what my condition is. "It doesn't mean you don't have the intellectual capability to do a degree". Erm, yeah, I know that, thanks.

Randomly, I am enraged at the attitude I've seen from a couple individuals here that "I've suffered worse than everyone, so I don't have to have compassion or concern for others, since I've overcome the most." horses**t. We've all endured, we've all faced challenges, and someone always has it worse than you, in some aspect or capacity. Learn to let go, otherwise you're carrying your burial mound with you.

I can be tolerant, I can be patient, I can continue trying to find a way to understand how someone could think that way.

Doesn't change the fact that the ignorant [....] is in dire need of a one-way ticket to a free range iceberg.

Some of my old anger has been trying to surface here lately. I try to be accepting of people but some of their ways, particularly in college still anger me. One girl in one of my classes the other day was talking to a guy. I heard him tell her that he had recently slept with a girl. She complements him and goes on to say "It's the cool guys that get laid, those are the only ones that are worth while." Even though it shouldn't have, that got my blood boiling to the extent that I had to keep from screaming until I got back home. It wasn't even the fact that I and a lot of us here are still virgins, it was such a closed-minded statement that I couldn't even fit it into my head. I know not all people are like that but I have lost faith in the people I go to college with.

Anyway, the reason I'm ranting about it now is because the anger from this incident is keeping me from sleeping.

I have to stop letting petty things such as this get to me.

why would you want to give your precious gift of first love to such idiots that want only 'coolness?' sheesh, think about it.

might as well just pay for a call girl, less karma that way.

**MY RANTS**

RANT #1:
THE IRS!! !! THE IRS!! !! They are telling me I owe them a chunk of $$$$ from 2006 because I took $$ out of my IRA for a first time home purchase. According to the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997, I do NOT have to pay the 10% penalty for early withdrawal. However, I DID PAY REGULAR INCOME TAX. As a matter of fact, I had to take out a LOAN FROM MY 401K TO DO IT!! !! !

The letter the IRS sent me cleverly calls it a "Tax Increase," - not a penalty. Is this a matter of SEMANTICS???? Yes, I can appeal - I have all the documentation to PROVE that I actually bought a home - but I feel like I have Dilbert's cloud of doom hanging over my head. WILL IT DO ANY GOOD????? STAY TUNED . . .

RANT #2
THE PARKING GARAGE AT MY BUILDING. I get up at 4:30 in the morning to get into the building by 7:00am (heavy, heavy traffic on my route) so that I can park in one of the few spaces that is NOT STACKED PARKING (i.e. 2-3 cars lined up behind each other).

I TRY TO LEAVE EARLY YESTERDAY AND WHAT DO I FIND??????? THE VALET PARKING PEOPLE HAVE PARKED CARS IN FRONT OF ME!! which means that I now have to WAIT FOR THE PARKING ATTENDANT TO MOVE THE CAR BEFORE I CAN GO ANYWHERE!! !!

I don't ask a lot of people, really - but I GET UP AT 4:30 IN THE MORNING FOR THIS NOT TO HAPPEN!! !! !!.

There's nothing I can do about it unfortunately. The building WILL oversell parking spaces, but, darnit I just wanna SCREAM -

DON'T PARK CARS IN FRONT OF ME, MORONS!! !! !! !

The people don't want a leader they want someone to act for them as , someone that would do it like they would do, that is what people want from their candidate, why wouldn't I vote for the one that at least understands the will of the people.

I am finally for Obama because he can channel the will of the people, and he better, dag nab it! I know McCain won't!

Why dammit? I need truth so I can act on facts! Lying to me, not being honest to me makes me act on things that aren't true and I make a fool of myself.

Just be honest to yourself and to me. That's all I ask.
Don't pepper me with fake niceties, it misleads me. I don't have a social intuition, I can't tell when you don't want me around unless you say something.
