I have about 7 (can't be bothered to count them) nationalities in my family. More if English and Scottish count as different nationalities.
People hate that.
It's not like anyone can help where they're born and so many families are a mix of English and Scottish or some other British mix that it's pathetic when people hate over that.
I have this too. My family lineage is British on both sides, but my mother's side is huge and they spread across three continents over time. People get frustrated trying to understand these connections. I have such a big family on her side that I don't even know all the people or all the locations.
I don't get why people are so judgy about it.
Basically, people travel and marry/have babies.
I also omit what kind of neighbourhoods my family have lived in cos it's a weird mix of different social class areas - some very posh and some very not.
And my cousin has a name that's 3 different nationalities.
And I kind of live on my own and have moved out but I kind of haven't.
So I confuse people a lot.
If I'm charitable about it, maybe they think I'm lying?
