Rants
I'm just feeling weird for a week. Or more. I wish I can pinpoint and quantify, but it happens before I realize or make sense of it.
I cannot trust myself in certain states.
And said states dumbs me down or worse, if not just simply just not feeling like doing something or anything.
The feeling passed a bit. Like any other.
But damnit, this is just a part of a really, really huge loop.
A loop I've been trying to map for years.
Said state, made me very, very negligent despite in previous, well, days? Weeks? That I like the system and how it's effective.
But ugh, nooo... No matter how detailed or even simple the system is, I remain inconsistent... Systems becomes meaningless in inconsistency.
But damn this state. I hate this... This... Whatever this is, it's in my body. Or my head. I don't know.
I neglected a week. Or two. And this will happen again for who knows when.
Frustrating. Fricking frustrating. I wasn't even busy or bothered. I hate it... Hate, HATE it...

And Wrong Planet is no better. The only active subforums here are PPR which I stay clear from, news and current events which are all just about Trump, off the wall games which don't interest me (it would if participating wasn't included as a post), and the "last thing you ate" type of threads in the random discussion. Some subforums haven't been posted in for days.
So many members of WP complain about Facebook and Instagram, but still abandon discussion forums to join those types of social media. I'd have thought that during the COVID crisis all large forums and social media sites would be busier. But no. Don't people socialise any more?
It's pretty slim pickings on here if I'm honest. I joined because I thought it would provide some social interaction.
Stopped using Facebook. There's only so many pictures of people's dinner I can stomach. And let's not forget all the racist bullsh1t people post on there.
People don't post racist BS on my Facebook, but some do post fake news, which really annoys me. It's so misleading and it raises people's hopes only to be disappointed again when they realise it was fake.
That's the main thing I dislike about Facebook.

Holier than thou idiots can do one.
I'm not gonna forgive people who threaten me irl or who are physically violent or who constantly say racist stuff to people or who show they don't have any sense of a bigotry they don't like or who slander people all the time Or who think the only thing that matters is bringing others down and how well you do in a fight or who drink in the streets of my home town all day long starting at 10am.
I'm not that big a person.
I don't need to be that big a person.
I'm allowed to hate people who act like that without somehow being a 'bad' person.
People do this holier than thou s**t cos they themselves have either got it easy or cos they themselves are numb to being treated like crap which isn't healthy.
It's ok for me to set up boundaries and not let everyone into my life. It's ok to trust my gut on this stuff.
Everyone I told the story to about a certain neighbour has backed me up on this that he was a bad guy.
Just gonna try and ignore the guilt from 'you could just forgive' nonsense. And esp him coming out with that when people are already in bad moods. Hippy nonsense. Maybe true for him - closest I can do is forget, I can't forgive.

There are many WP members who prefer to debunk or mock any post that is one they do not agree with. They gather a bunch of information, most likely from the internet supporting their opinion and post it to belittle someone's belief in something that does not fit into their black and white interpretation of the universe. You can find a wide variety of information on the internet supporting whatever viewpoint you may happen to hold. It appears like an effort to raise themselves up as a superior intellect, or they just enjoy making someone else feel inferior for believing in something that cannot be categorized as black and white. It is always the same people who make such posts. It is pattern of behavior that is not very different than the NT world. It would be a refreshing change if they would either attempt to engage in a dialog where they might perhaps learn something, or simply refrain from posting their contrary opinions. Try and be supportive, or say nothing.

Folks like me, who have a terrible vocabulary, hardly ever win an argument. You can only win an argument if you use big words that make you sound intelligent and gets your point across. Then people listen and start agreeing with you. I see this goes on a lot on WP and I envy people who can use big words frequently in their posts. I learn these big words off of other members and write them down so that I can use them when I need to, and it has worked. I also end up googling a lot of words, or using the online thesaurus.
I hate when people post studies to prove their point. It's like "here's a study, so there's no more reason to argue against it". Some studies are fake. And some studies don't make sense or never get to the point, and it feels like you are reading a foreign language. I ask members to dumb things down for me to help me understand things but my post doesn't get noticed.
A little tip: if you put the word "Trump" somewhere in your post, it may attract lots of readers, as the whole world seems to have an obsession with this guy.

Yep. I am so done with the Yank election.
Seems to take over a year.
Everyone goes for the person they actually like.
Person they actually like loses.
Person they spent months trashing they suddenly like.
Suddenly spend all their time rooting for him/her (to be fair that's mostly on American twitter feeds or from American WP users but still...)
It's not an election I can vote in so I am so done with it, I can't affect who wins or what they do afterwards or what they've done with their life up until this point.

The trick is not to be intimidated by one's articulation.
Truly.
There are countless accounts of those with great verbal articulation and libraries of memory of data to toy with -- but that's their illusion.
![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
Stats, even, can deceive a person's perception of the world.
How to stop being intimidated:
I can think of two;
One is to surpass or match levels of articulation.
Alternatively, appreciate terms and jargons as if it does resonates with personal preferences/tastes. To take it as a challenge to debunk is optional.
Another is by not being impressed by it or by not putting it on a pedestal -- to see past through the idea surrounded by linguistic aptitudes.
![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
At the same time, without losing the basis of language comprehension on the content from the author.
I've done both at some point.
There's also the other way around; just because their default mode of writing can appear like journalistic writing, that doesn't entirely mean it's their intention to sound smart or even assertive.
![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
Even I (someone with the opposite aptitude of NVLD) got the same issues merely because I used certain vocabularies or patterns of wording confusing chatmates and friends alike on regular basis...
Didn't even aim attaining the same illusions of articulation, because then I didn't careeeeee~
![Heart ](./images/smilies/icon_heart.gif)
I just keep picking things up on accident without the intent to impress others with language skills.
In my own case because this long and complex TUVWXYZ word just sounded more sense, more 'right' and precise, and therefore more comfortable to use than the common yet confusing and vague ABC word layterms.
And then it can become a habit...
AND THEN I SPENT TIME UNDOING IT.

Now it's all in my mood whether or not I could overdrive my language processor or give it a damn break because it's not all natural for me.
Yes. This is a reply AND a rant post.

People who use posh words all the time often don't even know what they mean.
If they use them, ask them to define them and break them down.
Probably less true on here cos a lot of autistic types spend more time reading then talking to people & might have communication issues describing what it means etc.
But if NTs can't do that, it's because they picked up the word in order to impress & don't actually know what it means.

Oh...
Maybe they do know they're the bad guys...
Maybe they're just so caught up in being adults engaging in cringe culture that they don't care about good versus bad anymore, it's all just embarrassing versus not embarrassing or like I said to dad, strong versus weak.
I wish they didn't have the power to make me feel this crappy considering I value being good and being nice rather than anything else but still it takes me right back to being bullied & being made to feel weak by adults when I was a teenager.

I can't help using "posh" words because I'm so brilliant.
It is *not* my fault that I am the smartest skunk on the website.
Those on the spectrum often have special interests.
One of mine is being a smarty-pants.
Another one is using ginormous words.
Grammarly tells me I use 99% more unique words than dummies.
I'm not *that* smart.
Other people are just so, so, not-so-smart.
*I'm* the victim here!
It's not my fault that I am a gift to the universe.
And why do I supply references?
So people can check it out themselves and make up their own minds if what is presented makes sense to them.
Do I believe everything I read on the internet?
You bet I do.
Of course I don't.
I use life wisdom and personal knowledge to determine what is and what isn't kosher.
And I use reason to fill in the gaps.
I am the Oracle of Truth, and I know my shite.
And my shite is good shite.

Make it make sense.
Humans value ourselves too much as a species?
Have someone who likes eating meat die then. Not mum.
Not that I'd advocate for that personally as I think being pro-animal-rights doesn't mean you should be anti-human-rights/lives.
I think as a human you ought to naturally believe in humans being alive as long as possible. That's just normal decency.
But mum is the worst person to be saying should die because of humans overvaluing our species. She doesn't even drink cows' milk.
