@KK - Therein lies the rub. If ASS-P gets SSDI, how come he's always broke? I'm on SSDI and, not only do I have enough to buy Chinese food every day, but enough leftover to gamble at a casino. Fact is, I really just save my money waiting for a subsidized unit to open. It doesn't seem like ASS-P's in that same boat.

I'm still waiting to hear from ASS-P about it, though.

Actually, for the entire time I've been here, any time someone asks directly if he's on SSI or SSDI he never answers, KK always says he is an he has a payee who pays him weekly. I've never seen ASS-P state this is where his money comes from.

And for someone who has been confined to a rehab or hospital for as much as he's been, with as little time out on the streets or in shelter, he must have gone on some spending binges to be broke now.

That's what I'd like to know too. He has access to free food and pays nothing for shelter. What does he spend his money on? Clothing at a thrift shop are dirt cheap, and he can probably get that free too at a church.

I've seen posts of his where he wants to go to college, but insists that other people arrange the whole thing for him, and states that its so unfair and unjust that they cant or wont. Sorry, but if he cant arrange this himself, he cant go, that's the bottom line. I doubt the HOT team in SF had any intention of filling out forms for him, and told him what he wanted to hear because they just saw him as another crazy homeless person. I mean, how would he attend classes when he is in the hospital all the time? How would he get to class with his mobility issues? How would he PAY for it?

He stopped talking about that quite a while ago. Don't see any reason to bring it up again unless he does.

Then again it's in his signature so in that way it does get mentioned every time he posts.

Yes, its in every sig he posts. And a while back, there was a whole huge thread on it. Where he wanted other people to dig up his old records! He told Goldfish that he didn't want help with that lawyer from him, but he thinks strangers can dig up his old records?

I doubt he really believes others here can do those things for him. He’s just frustrated and knows he can’t do these things for himself so he vents about it and we let him.

In that school thread, he literally begged people here to dig up his old records. He said "If someone good with the phones and letters can just dig them up for me, that would be great". He has a phone, so whats the hold up? If some stranger can get them, then he certainly can.

Name calling is against the rules in all forums, and especially so in the Haven. Please desist and don't repeat this behaviour here, in ANY member's Haven thread.

ASS-P left me phone messages detailing his present circumstances, apparently he has no present connection to the web as the home [for want of a better term for his present shelter, the "motel santa cruz"] has confiscated/disposed of all his personal effects including a web tablet for internet, his pocket money, food items, prescription medications, all clothing he wasn't wearing. he is trying to leave that place but so far has not found a suitable new place to stay, and his ability to go back to the hospital and get replacements for his medications is hampered by his lack of mobility, no money for bus rides and limited ability to walk more than a small amount at a time. he said the motel santa cruz also is charging his payee/social services fund $2000 for the 3 weeks he has been stuck there, depleting the fund for what it is worth.

...Thank you, AB, but it isn't as bad as all that. Maybe my writing skill in't as good as I thought it was, if I did't journalistically get the exact story across :( ! When I asked AB to synopsisefor me, thank you.
First, this phone - not tablet - was't stolen
in the motel-room theft. Luckily, I take it - and its charger - everywhere, it would have been. More later.
