That makes everything seem a little more problematic.

What does that vibe feel like? Can Aspies pick it up also since we generally cannot read or interpret non-verbal behavior?

You've never felt that feeling that someone's f****d up and that distance should be maintained?

It kinda feels like that.

Is that Fnord's avatar?

Yes

Before Fnord adopted "Harold" or "Maurice" as his avatar he was known as 'Hide The Pain Harold' (the dude in the picture not Fnord) , 'Hide The Pain Harold' is called this because it's perceived his smile is fake, masking sorrow , mental anguish or haemorrhoids pain.

Thank you for explaining that.

I wasn't making a dig at Fnord, I was saying that man's facial expression is similar to the one you'd make as someone says something that's a final straw for your spidey senses.

Seeing as the only question I asked Jamesy got ignored or missed, I'd thought I'd help in another way.

You're the only one responsible for your behaviour. If people tell you that you're creepy, try to make yourself seem less creepy.

In college I could get away with being creepy.

Adults I think are not as tolerant of creepy behaviour

I did not like creepy behavior when I was in college...at all. It made me uncomfortable.

No one should have to tolerate it and no one should try to get away with it.

Many creeps are harmless since they simply don’t understand appropriate social behaviour. It’s just in there nature to behave that way.

Creeps are not harmless.

You are making excuses for creepy behavior...again. People are capable of changing their behavior. There's simply no excuse for it.

For some people that takes a lot of effort though to fight against their nature. It’s comparable to the huge effort it takes to mask autism.

It's not the same thing as masking autism by any means.

It's simply working on one specific facet of our personality to avoid making others feel uncomfortable. Most of us would find it worth the trouble because we wouldn't want others to feel uncomfortable or unsafe due to our behavior.

Personal growth is a positive thing.

Okay. I think one of the worst things a man can do is stare at a woman for to long because a they may become secretively unfriendly towards you.

No one has said that it's one of the worst things a man can do. It's just creepy, inappropriate behavior that a person should try to avoid along with asking women in bars to sit in your lap (etc).

The thing is though I might only ask a woman to sit on my lap if I was drunk. I would never dream of saying it when sober and maybe it’s a of my OCD combined with ignorance as well.

Also can I point out that I find it ironic a lady can chose to sit on a guys lap yet apparently that’s not considered creepy behaviour. Double standards huh?

Being drunk is not a valid excuse...for anything. If I behaved that way when I was drunk, I wouldn't drink in public, not that I do anyway. Harassing women is not okay - drunk or sober.

Maybe you should ask yourself why you are being so defensive about this stuff. It seems like you enjoy engaging in creepy behavior and are looking for excuses so you don't have to change it. I would think about that if I were you.

Let me hear your views on this do you think it’s creepy then if a girl goes up to sit on some guys lap? That could be viewed as sexual harassment as well. I have seen some girls do that before and it’s no less different to a man asking a lady to sit on his knee. Double standards huh? But then being a man is like playing life on hard mode.

When you have had some beers and get drunk it makes you less inhibited and speak your mind more. By the way I have taken your advice and will not asking ladies to sit on my lap unless I was in a relationship with a woman of course.
