+5.

I love the fall, and I love Halloween. I'm looking forward to doing some masterwork pumpkin carvings this year, along with my son who just loves to take a safety-carver to the pumpkins; I've already got some designs and plans for them. Normally I'd also be arranging an elaborate Halloween display for the front of and just inside of the house, but this year I'm living in a rather remote spot, so I'm not sure I'll get any visitors other than perhaps my two neighbors. :( In addition to an elaborate spooky display out front, I'm fond of fog lit up with a black light pouring out the front door when it is open (my son loves the fog machine); I like to rig up a sound-clip that incorporates the first few stanzas of Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, ending with a thunderclap, which plays through suddenly and very loudly from hidden speakers outside the front door behind my victims, er, I mean visitors, just before I open the door and let the fog roll out. It's a fun double-startle; they are started by the sudden music from behind them, and typically turn around to look behind them, and then I suddenly open the door, and glowing fog pours out. :skull:  And after startling them, I love to lavish them with candy. "Please, grab a handful! Extra for extra-good costumes!" Halloween is a day to celebrate the master trickster in me.

A childhood favourite (sans Rammstein, but WTF):

-5ish. I don't like weekends.

Icarus should've posted that in my thread in the TV and film forum about vintage cartoons. :(

About 6... I have this pressure looming over me and I'm not sure what to do when I do the thing I'm gonna do...

Slight paranoia... :|

6 seems about right... because I don't feel down or anything.

-7. My father comes back from New Zealand on Tuesday, and my mother doesn't return until Sunday. I'm going to have my character torn to pieces, with noone to stick up for me.

About 6 still... I believe I'm possibly going to make my most important move so far as I've been 18... goddamnit I'm constantly putting myself up for pretty discomforting situations... if I'm down, I crack down hard on myself, if I'm up, I think it's a perfect time to make a risky move.

Jesus frigging Christ the things I'm putting myself up for...

1, which is an 11-point improvement from a few minutes ago. It's amazing what waking up properly and getting some food in your stomach will do for your mood.
On the other hand, my chest hurts and I feel sick. I should have given in to my meltdown last night.

10. This morning I found out that if I pass my subjects this semester, I'll graduate from university at the end of this year.

I had a relaxing day pondering a silly short story, which I wrote. I often have delusions like the one I wrote about earlier; I think I may start capturing them in writing more often. So much of what I imagine is confined to the universes within my mind; I get an odd feeling of selfishness when I ponder that notion just right...

I realized today (duh, I'm a simpleton sometimes) that I can take a laptop and wander 50 feet or so into the forest behind my cabin and still get a wireless signal; and I can wander much farther if I don't care about getting a signal. Writing in the forest was most pleasant; there's something in the air that invigorates the soul, and stimulates the imagination. Today was a bit rainy, so I could only go out intermittently, but I've staked out a perfect spot surrounded by trees and greenery where I still get a signal; I think I'm going to install a small flagstone patio there with an unobtrusive canopy to block the rain and write there in the evenings, or just strum away on my guitar. Though, the days are quickly drawing shorter where I live. Although... Horror; some of what I like will be horror; how much more appropriate can one get to write horror stories in a dark forest at night. 8O  The pieces of the puzzle begin to fall together quite naturally. I may even build a small fire pit.

I think I need an editor though. :(

Good fortune,

- Icarus mixes tenses too often...

Even regular friends betray or abandon me for no reason. If that's the case, how can I have a long-lasting, successful romantic relationship?

Tim

I'm lonely since no one seems to be on IM and the TF2 servers are down.

I miss Kate.
