Classic Tim is not returning anytime soon, not unless I find a suitable mate (a liberal Aspie woman who likes South Park).
Tim
My therapist recently told me that I had strong signs of asperger's. On the subject of my inability to make friends (both platonic and romantic) the bottom line was that I had to adapt and make an intentional effort at talking, being social, and communicating. I see where your coming from, but the chances of someone meeting your criteria is near nada. I, like you, would love nothing more than to be with someone like myself, but the reality of it is that it's simply unrealistic. We're in the same boat, and we can either retain our specific criteria and remain alone (which, believe me, we will) or we can suck it up, take chances, and branch out.
I'm a 4. Decent day.
Here is an explanation of my criteria:
Liberal: I live in a place where the majority of people are Southern Baptists, a very conservative Christian denomination known for trying to curb creativity, self-expression, and open-mindedness. They believe that anyone who doesn't adhere to their ultra-strict version of Christianity will be cast into the pits of hell. They are the ones that crusade against anything offensive, and detrimental to their beliefs. Many of the things I am interested in go against their beliefs.
South Park: This is one of many TV shows that the Southern Baptists, many other evangelical Christian denominations, and the Mormons, want yanked off the air. That is why I come to the conclusion that anyone who watches South Park is liberal. And I don't know of anything on TV, other than porn, that is more liberal than South Park.
Aspie: My first girlfriend was an NT, and lied to me and cheated on me (because she found a guy with a nicer car). My second girlfriend was an Aspie, and she did not lie or cheat. I limit myself to other Aspies because Aspies do not lie or cheat. And, unlike with NTs, I don't have to worry about being physically attractive or making a certain amount of money.
Tim
