Oh yeah but I'm not able to tell him all the things I'm saying in therapy yet because it's words I've never said out loud before.

It's hard to be vulnerable. I think that's a big part of it.

Yeah, it’s really hard. I’ve not been able to be open in therapy yet or with anyone offline. It’s easier for my to type things than to say them out loud. I will probably try therapy again at some point in the future.

It’s a buzz word. Even though it’s not a word, it’s being used like one, and it’s everywhere at the moment… just like AI…(looks over his shoulder suspiciously)

I wish I could find a link to it, but an advert came on in-between youtube vids and it was an organization trying to get legislation on AI as it implied it could eventually launch nukes - somebody watched Terminator one too many times :jester:

I am so sick of managing other people's lives and organising things for them! They have a problem, I help them sort it out. They need to organise something, I help them. They need things being prepared for them, I prepare them. They want something fun to do, I arrange it.

Who helps ME? Who helps with my problems, organising, preparations? Erm...*tumbleweed* The invisible woman is me. Just a tiny bit of acknowledgement would be nice. A teeny tiny thank you.

Lots of rants and arguments.

It's a shame because some of these people I talked to are genuinely people I meshed well with, but at my low point I ended up destroying any relationship I've had.

Facebook is NT world, I realised. They don't understand how autistic people communicate.

And I know what you mean. I end up destroying every relationship. But it didn't used to be that way. I had some friends for decades. The rise of the internet has destroyed relationships IMO. Well, social media has made most people reactive, offended, oversensitive, judgemental.

Oh, a rant thread. Perfect. I just pissed off a (hopefully) friend and I don't know how to make it better. I'm sure it was my fault, but I don't know what to do because I don't understand relationships with humans.

What I decided to do when people go like that is ask them. 'You seem angry (or whatever emotion you think it is), is everything okay?' I don't know if it works because the last time I interacted regularly with humans was in 2011, but I thought I'd try it next time I make them angry.

Surely they can't have changed that much in 12 years? Maybe they've got angrier and more offended? But yes, I've generally been alone since then. Apart from husband and daughter of course.

Oh, you would be surprised how much they have changed. :D I lived under a rock for "only" 10 years and the things the world has learned in the meantime that I missed... it's too much to catch up for me. So, maybe humans have not changed, but the way they communicate and understand the world and society has changed.

People on social media are more politicised, tribal, fickle, and highly strung, I find. Even compared to just 10 years ago.

There is a general atmosphere of gloom amongst a lot of folk probably because of a poor economy that has hardest hit Gen-Z and millennials.
