When you get some money, you should get something like a "tracfone"--pay as you go, so you could contact people.

Are you able to get SSI-type money?

...I get SSI/D , divied up in a weird way (No time/inclination to go into it now .) ~ Tracphone RIPPED ME OFF !
All of 4-5?? phones over the last year-ish (including a period when I had a windfal lof $ , now gone) have been pay-as-you-go/" minutes " phones (Which Criagslist discriminates against , BTW  .) ~ Tracphone ESPECIALLY f*ck*d me over ~ Although , come to think of it , there was the time I was sold a phone & expensive minutes , a common bond in all of these ~ Oh , and there's my extreme bad luck in getting a phone online , and just plain being homeless AND pretty non-knowledgeable about setting up a phone as well) ~ I , again , don't have tim/.inclination to use my 15-plus minutes of library computer time to go into it now , but , EXTREME BAD LUCK !
A phone & expensive minutes THAT WEREN'T BEING SUPPORTED BY ITS MAKER ANYMORE , I meant to say , the store wshould NEVER HAVE been selling it in the first place !
This was for about $150.00 , IIRC .
I DID eventually get the money back , but......... :(

They have phones where you have total control of your minutes. You could set up the phone at the library. You could get them at "box stores" like Best Buy.

You could get a Tracfone, and have that same control. Just get the cards and minutes yourself. You could put the minutes in using the phone itself.

...Okay , REALLY briefly , I finally had the ampuations ~ two ! !! !! !! !! (When thus all started , it was just one :( , IIRC) ~ Nessecary , I suppose , so good - Except that , even towards the amputation being near , some do0ctors said to me " Actually , if you got lots of antibiotics treatment and a place to stay/rest in between your toes could be saved - :( - But , needless to say , that was never going to be
The opeartion itself and the immediate " first act " of recovery went okay , that being where I started out being in bed basically 24/7 and taking many IV antibioitics , went okay , but , when that portion was over , ALTHOUGH I was very very very anal retentive before about " Remember , I have to have a ' second act ' of recovery , slowly learning to walk again , etctera " ~ I went on and on about that here , didn't I ? (I guess I will give myself liscence , total , to repeat things without saying " Even if I said it before..." from here on... ) - Well , GUESS WHAT ?
I didn't get that . ( The (Everett , actually) SWeattle-area hospital , claiming " they couldn't find anyone to take me " (What , my minimal jail/probation record ?) , did not do it , and tossed me out , briefly , REALLY immediately after the IV period ran out ~ And , frankly , (briefly) my feet , the left one especially , have GONE DOWNHILL from the excessive walking (especially back in hilly/wet/little ground Seattle :( ) ~ I had an OPEN WOUND in my left foot the last time I looked (It is , right now , bandaged) ~ I am in Santa Ceruz now , still 100% homeless (tho I went to the winter shelter last night ~ Okay , but not best for every night , briefly , thinketh I) .

...Now back in Santa Cruz , I have , too , managed to re-start an active account at the homeless center where HL can receive USPS mail ~~~ It is the address on my Cali state ID , and I finally got over and cleared out umpteen " notice " letters yesterday .
I have ansked a WP-er to be the person with that address , should you wish to write to that " street " :) :P :?
address , howevs  , said WP-er has not yet given consent to this , so...........
In going through these letters , among were numerous " You have not shown up for a hearing ! "/etc. letters dating from the last run of " being homeless "/camping tickets I received before the last departure from SC...In combination with the new run of said tickets I've inagurated , perhaps the " foundation " 8O for another Santa Cruz County Jail engagment has been set...I see that this line discussed the initial jail thing from the very beginning , so :? ...........

...I AM fully HL now , am getting no medical treatment right now (An earlier bandage on my wounded toe still remains) , and may have another jail situation building upp now , for three .
The HL place I went to an re-established my mail pick-up at (and it's Kraftiekortie who has my address) was a HL CENTER , not a shelter let alone a " nicer " place , briefly .

...To sum my medical situation up:
After the amputation of both toes , my not receiving the " second act " of resting and " learning to walk again " , not from the WA hospital I had the amputation :( at , and not from others I tried in WA...led me to return to Santa Cruz .
I was in the hospital for a day-two here , but a conflict w/the hospital over their behaving " cop/doctor-ism " led me to leave .
I was getting some rest/treatment there , too , but , even leaving out that (with my most recent tablet having been stolen from me back in WA  0 I had zero-zip-nada Internet access :x ...Being there , once again , PUT MY LIFE OTHER THAN BEING IN AN ISOLATION HOSPITAL ROOM (watching Maury Povitch or whatnot ~ Isolation because of my past MRSA , though that's supposed to be effectively cured because of the amputation now) COMPLETELY ON HOLD ,
<<<<<ONCE AGAIN>>>>> !
Since being out , combining some things I've done/have tried buit not yet/? done/still haven't done there's:
Re-establishing myself with the Homeless Persons' Medical Project here
Signing up for this-season eligibility for the winter shelter
Re-establishing my getting mail at the homeless center (which is in the same complex as the medical HPHP , but is a seperate organization)
Seeing if I'm still signed up for this " possible housing " project
Seeing if I'm still signed up on the waiting list for this " good " shelter , as being on the list apparently exempts you from getting homeless camping tickets here??
If I can somehow , printing out a form to take to a notary public to then send to an OK address which will get an amount of money/ , some backed-up amount and a semi-regular small payment , sent to me .
All of this is while I have my ball & chain , and a hole in my foot  !
I won't see the Oscars either  . You complaining about your X-Box system being broken down :( ?

...Okay ~ Last night , I thought I'd try to get some rest , and some immediate care for the open wound in my left big toe remnant (a smaller version of what was there before it worked up to the ampuation :() , and thinking it could lead mup to a place again in that nursing home I was in in 2014 , to allow me to rest ~ This had been pointed at before , when I was in the hospital a few days back .
My open wound was now uncovered :( , the bandage having come off ..
.
.
.
Well , the hospital people got me in and out ultra-quickly , I got one perscription (Not a diabetes one , I believe :( , for some ungodly reason , here and in Seattle , no one wants to prescribe me diabets meds , which , it seems to me , would be the most basic thing I'd need :( .) , was out before 2 AM (dropped off at all-night CVS downtown)...
.
.
.
.

The hospital wrapped too much cotton around my foot , which tends to work itself off/get pulled off .
I said this to the hospital , was told " Oh , no , it's only one level "...and they said (I didn't asset myself much .) " Well , you could have a hospital shoe " .
How in the f*****g world could I trudge around homeless in the kind of hospital shoe I pictured ? And what would I do with my existing shoe ?
I refused that , took the overly thick cotton wrapping ~ Although a minimal , strong , wrapping on just by toe area has proven to be the most durable ~ GUESS WHAT !
THE VERY NEXT f*****g MORNING , the cotton foot wrapping came off :( .
It is noncovered now .
Seriously , mit is now looking like a jail stay may be the only way to get off of my feet , being jailhouse idle,, that's what happened in the main stay in 2013 , my bad got ~ did not 100% heal ~ but got appreciably better , on the outside anyway , then :( .

...I keep losing my glasses :( (Drugstore/generics ~ I haven't had prescription glasses for I don't know how many years :() ~ Just last night , of my two glasses (One , " nicer " , one for my pocket , and a " rougher " one in my bag) I discovered the pocket ones were gone...ching , ching , $10.95 more gone for replacemnts ! :(
These ones have absolutely know glasses case at all , one of the reasons my glasses break is that ones without cases tend to get use on them and the ear-supporteers get bent , fall off...or , lenses get pushed out ! :(
The rougher pair , just the other night , the case for it blew away in the wind , now I have a Taco Bell takeaway bag to put the glasses in...NOT a full glasses case . So it might bend or break sooner .
The pocket one I lost last night was lost along with its case , the replacement glasses , the #10.95 ones , HAVE no case :( .........
My wounded toe is now completely uncovered , the bandage fell off , if I didn't make that clear enough .
Kraftieffortie has my USPS address/name , again repeating myself .

...Since I simply cannot seem to set up a situation where I may REST A WAYS , POST-MY TOES' AMPUTATION , I am wondering whether I " should " try to set up another jail situation , where , perhaps , I could: (1) Spend a coup[le of weeks idle (2) Getting at least some basic treatment for the wound upon my feet , which is what happened when I was in jail in Apr-May 2013 .
Something happened this morning that made me think , when I was roused by Park cops than city ones , that maybe , if I pushed , I would get arrested ~ However , for one , I wanted to write something on the computer to-day ~ and be a little cleaner , and maybe w/a little pocket money (Whenever I've been jailed I never have cash to put on my account ! :PFoo .)
My left toe , then , got somewhat better , at the end of the treatment I got , at least externally .
Now it is less damaged - But it is hole-y ~ And , figuring that , as before , the noticeable wound upon the toe (As well as , now , the " Yecch ! "-y ness of the post-amputation toe .) might , even though jails are not noted for much medical care , get me some basic bandaging/pills , as I got in 2013 , as the nurses' station is real close in the " stronger " downtown jail ~ The " lesser offenders " jail , in Watsonville , " The Farm " , might be closed to me with my condition ?
But what if I did this and got that judge who was , in 2013 , sort-of threatening me w/a six-month sentence ?
Well (besides this " cutting sentences in half " thing that exists now in Cali jails by Federal order cuz' they're so overcrowded :?) , maybe I'd get to try out " The Farm " then :bounce: ?
I suppose my record may have contributed to my , up in WA , " not being able to get a nursing place that would take me " , as the amputating hospital claimed was the case ~
However , against it , though I suppose a somewhat " nicer " jail situation , the non-troublemaker block of the SC jail is still jail , and the novelty of being there before is over ~ And , incidentally , though I said , earlier , in this line , that nothing really violent happened to me while in jail in A-M..........Uumm , note the language I used .
Like " really " . And HAPPENED . :?
Some near-violence situations happened :( . I just decided to slurf over it before , when I wrote about it .
Frankly , if the record helps KEEP ME from getting " normal " rest & recuperation care , though , maybe I should " do the best with what I have ? :?:
I've also thought that , maybe , this could get me in that " Housing Now " position of " harmless/sort of pathetic nuisance , let's house this HL so we're not spending jail and ER fees on him , it's considerably cheaper " - ?
Oh , and , BTW ~ I can't seem to re-do my profile to make my " home " (heh) :( Santa Cruz again , not Seattle ~ I have tried :( . So :( ?
Before , people said they'd write me ~ Only one new person ever did , in fact , though it was a fine friendship to acquire :) .

Sorry the cops had to wake you up. I'm a believer in letting people sleep, unless they're bothering someone.

I hope the authorities will see fit to find you a home, thereby "saving taxpayers' money" as you explained.

Have you got a place in a shelter for this night?
