The rest of the world is really the messed up part of it
Think about these questions, and then decide for yourself..
Do you stop at crosswalks to let people cross the street? Do most people stop at crosswalks?
If you are at a crosswalk (with a stop/go light for pedestrians) do you wait for the GO light to cross, or do you just cross when it's convenient? Do MOST people wait for the GO light?
When wlaking through a crowded place (OK, we all end up in crowded places once in a while!) do you notice that if you aren't the one to move, you would constantly run into other people? Do other people ever move out of the way to be polite?
Do you care more about what you look like, what you wear, having a nice car, etc? Or do you care more about other people, the planet, etc..? What to MOST people care about more?
If someone dropped something, would you point it out and/or pick it up for them? What would MOST people do?
--------
I think that's enough of the questions to get my point across. Lately I've been observing the world and other peoples bahavior more and notice all the time that MOST people are very selfish and inconsiderate. They are out to better themselves at the expense of others. The live beyone their means, buy things the cant aford (BIG FAT HOUSE!) and then let other peoples tax money bail them out.
How many times during a given day do you see someone lying to you or someone else? Did you know that it's nearly impossible for children in the ASD to lie? Logic and truth is what matters, doing the right thing. Saying what we mean, and meaning what we say. I was reading a book recently and at 6 or 7 years old a child with AS/NLD's parents were elated over the fact that their child was able to tell a 'little white lie'.
I am starting to see that we are the normal ones, the way people should be.. truthful, honest, caring, WITHOUT the need to be self-seeking. Maybe, just maybe.. our brains are in the right state.. and the NT's as they are referred to at the ones with the real problems. I used to feel bad and get depressed because I felt like I didn't fit in well with the rest of the world and only had a small group of real friends.. but why should I fel bad that I don't fit in with a bunch of impolite, ignorant, selfish people who could care less about most other people.
Anyhow.. that's just what was on my mind and I wanted to share it. I think spending a few hours in the JFK airport this morning set me off a bit and I needed to vent.. or maybe I was tired from the redeye last night.. but no matter, I see it more and more like this every day, and really am starting to enjoy the fact that my mind works the way it does and I have the ability to be who I am..

Not if to do so will disrupt traffic flow - getting the car hit could hurt me and other people.
Then again, our town only has 4 traffic lights anyway
And only two of those have crosswalk lights.

I wait for the light to turn green before I cross the street. If there aren't any lights I wave "thank you" when people stop.
If someone drops something I pick it up for them. I care about the planet, but do I care about human beings? Yeah, I care about some human beings. I'm not really in sync with most human beings, therefore I don't feel very appreciated and welcome, and so I turn my back. But I'm rarely rude to people, the only times I'm rude is if I have to repeat what I said. I can probably be a bit rude if I think someone makes a dumb decision, but I always apologise for being rude.
I don't drive, but if I did I would stop if there was a pedestrian on the crossing, as is the law here, and if they were about to cross and I could stop without disrupting other traffic.
3 people stopped for me today. This is a fairly typical thing to happen when I go out.
Unless my brain is screaming at me about "OMG TEH RULEZ", I cross when it's convenient.
No, and of course, this makes them bad people. They probably kill puppies too.
No, they would move. I've tested it.
Well, now that you mention it, my local supermarket is a mess of people constantly running into each other with their shopping trolleys. And here I was thinking that my difficulty in navigating my way past people was something to do with the fact that I had trouble reading their nonverbal signals. How silly of me.
No.
No. I care about myself, my interests, a very small number of people, and a dog.
I'd suggest you ask them. It will be different for each person, and I can't read minds. Most people seem to care a lot more about other people than I do, though. My emotional response to most people is about the same as my emotional response to most tables.
Yes.
I have observed that most people would do the same as I would do.
I was in the shopping centre the other week, and coins scattered from my wallet. 4 people went out of their paths to help me pick the coins up.
