The old man I met at the soup kitchen is driving me nuts. He wants to hang out all the time. I thought maybe we could be friends but he is too rude. He eats stuff off the floor too. Which is embarrasing. He thinks we are friends right now. But I dont want to be friends with him anymore. This is the hard part. I have no idea how to tell him I dont want to be friends anymore. Im afraid he will get mean because hes rude sometimes. I dont know how to do this...Im kind of scared.

I think perhaps you should find some other volunteer opportunities for now and avoid the man.

Just tell him you want to hang out by yourself.

My mom said telling him I dont want to be friends would be hitting him over the head. She said just to avoid him and he will get the message. I have to eat at the soup kitchen though because I cant afford much food and hate cooking. He knows where I live anyway and can track me down if I dont go to the soup kitchen. He is very klingy. He said he only goes to the soup kitchen because I go there.

If he follows you, tell him to stop. If he continues, tell him you will call the cops. You have to nip this in the bud.

Avoiding him is a good idea.

I would try to avoid Also. Can you go slightly earlier and get out quick? Maybe change up your schedule if possible?
