I just keep on running into one problem after another! First, I get run over by a car. Next, I have to move out of my apartment soon. Then, Social Security says that they are going to cut off my disability because I am not "disabled"! Why do I keep on getting this bad luck?!?

Today, I got a notice of disapproved claim from Social Security Administration stating that even though I said that I am unable to work because of ADHD, ADD, speech problems, autism, and Asperger's, and although I experience ADHD and Asperger's, my records show that I am able to communicate with others, act in my own interest, and perform most ordinary activities. Medical records do not reveal complications due to ADD, speech problems, or autism which would be disabling under governmental guidelines. Yadda yadda yadda...

I originally got my disability check on my autism diagnosis when I was 3 years old, and I had to reapply for it when I was 18. I tried my best, but I failed. Looks like I will have to get some of my family to help me with this. I plan on appealing this, as I feel that this decision was very disguided.

I have heard that someone actually losing their disability check because they weren't really disabled according to the system was uncommon, but this is classic injustice. I cannot get a job! The simplest of things are challenging to me, and the job market really sucks! I do not have a formal diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome, and I need it, looks like.

I plan on getting a lawyer, appealing, and winning the case! If I don't get my disability check back, then that's the last straw for me, looks like. I will be dependent on someone else and what little chance I had in this forsaken world will be lost indefinitely, because I do not have anyone that I can go back to, really.

Any advice besides "hang on"?

You need a lawyer! Get the best one in town, he won't charge you until you get your check back. This happens to EVERYBODY, right now they are denying large numbers of cases due to the federal deficit, they are under pressure to pare the rolls down, so anybody they can deny bennies to is gonna be denied. If you've been getting a check since you were 3, there is NO REASON that they can deny you now, especially since autism is not a changing disorder, you do NOT "get better" from autism. The only reason is to prune the rolls so that they can get the deficit under control.

I used to get SSI when I was a kid for ADHD/Emotionally Impaired, but cut me off. Now on medications, I don't think they would see me as disabled enough, though I am trying to get a small state disability check.

I'm having a hard time finding a suitable job too... I wish I was more disabled sometimes, so I could get SSI and not worry about work.

Oh dear! 8O You were run over? An accident, right? The rest, to me, seems like a real "not now!" #$%p package. :(

:( Unfortunatly, no. Hanging on is all you can do at this point. 'sigh' I agree with you about the job market. It indeed sucks!

Social Security is so messed up. They deny lot of people even though they need it. My father in law got denied and he had to get a lawyer and he got approved. His doctor had said he can't work because he had a stroke.

I also have difficulty finding work but I blame the economy but I struggled finding woek before the economy. Hey it took me three weeks last time to get a job when I was looking for work because I looked for it everyday. Now I am on the waiting list for a job. But I have experiance in housekeeping but not one hotel called me for an interview when I was looking this summer. Mmmmmm.

Easy, my fellow. I understand your fear and anger, but your loss of benefit is not an expense.

Because it just is, my friend. There's no particular reason for why the world is the way it is, other than that the Laws of Nature simply caused the Universe to evolve in a certain way. I wish you the best of luck, this Christmas day!

The world is cruel because everyone needs to know it exists. The world is perfect with it, and hell without it. The illusion of cruelty-free sounds like hell to me.

I understand what you are going through. So many bad things happening. Have you stood back and sought the good for the bad is easier to spot than the good.

You see news of bad events, but not so much the good. An example: A kid having an accident in a car is suddenly the view that every child of similar age is a bad and thus dangerous person behind the wheel. Yet we see nothing about those that are good because we choose to be blind to it.

Don't be blind, seek the good to compensate the bad
