One of my most closest friends will be taking off for Maui, on Tuesday and he's going to be busy, all day, tomorrow. My other two friends are unpredictable with their time tables. One of them will be at an older friend's place, more often than not, and the younger friend, two years older than myself, will be helping her family out, more often than not.

The other thing is that The Olympics will be over, tonight so I won't have anything to watch on TV, for two weeks, until the Parolympics are on TV in two weeks. I've always had an Olympic hangover after watching that flame go out. It happens, every time.

An Olympic hangover and my friend leaving on the same week, is going to be potent combination for me to be dealing with.

How am I going to get through these three weeks that he's gone, and my other two friends are busy in the evenings?

Try to keep your mind occupied with other things. Start a small (and even pointless) project if you want to. I know it sucks when friends go away because my only friend emigrated to australia. I just had to learn to be happy again but it took a long time. Just think about how great it will be to see your friend again, thats what keeps me going!

If that's not enough, I think that my supervisor is going to lay me off, when she phones me, today. They say that bad luck happens in 3s. I could pretty much be sitting there, with my friend in Maui, with the Olympics over, laid off by my supervisor. Grrrrr.
