So I've been off meds for about a month, by myself, and I've been fine. But yesterday I had a headache so I took the dreaded Excedrine....it really helps cure the headache fast BUT it has a huge dose of caffeine in each pill. And I took 2. So....I got really anxious after a while, and my bf and I were out to dinner, and as he was talking, I started feeling cold all over and then my legs started to shake and my heart-rate started getting faster. I excused myself to run to the bathroom and I had a mini panic attack...nothing major but I felt like it was out of control again....so I ended up telling him WHY I didn't eat a bite of my dinner and why I ran to the bathroom so fast. He was fine with it, but I think I'm going back on the pill again....

And you might want to avoid Excedrine or other caffeinated products.

Instead of Excedrin (Extra Strength or Migraine - same product, just different packaging), you can take a dose of acetaminophen (Tylenol) and aspirin/Ibuprofen (a NSAID) together, and have basically the same thing (see here or here) without the caffeine. The other option is to take Excedrin Back & Body instead, which is the Excedrin formula without caffeine.

The probable reason for including caffeine in the regular formulas is that it helps relieve headaches for some people.
