Well, my dad thinking the genius that he is did not like that my old bank was charging me $6 a month if I didnt use my bank card at least 5 times. Well I miscounted one month and was off by one use. So they charged me the $6.

What does he do? He drags my ass to end our bank account there and switch over to another bank in that same hour.

All of this without even taking into consideration the fact that I may have had payments and transactions pending with the use of that bank account.

Rest assured what happens? Credit card payments get rejected and I'm paying $75 for the payment rejection and the missed payment date causing a bad mark on my credit...all of this over 6 freakin' dollars!

Plus I may have lost about $20-$50 dollars because I had just sold something on Amazon and the payment transaction with that conflicted with the bank switch. So now I have no idea where that money is or if I will ever even get it.

I know this is a stupid thing to vent over and I should be at fault for not keeping track of my finance stuff (hard as I try) but I'm very inexperienced with banking and finances and my dad is supposed to be the one helping me and guiding me through this but in the end, he just made my financial situation worse. I was fine with my old bank. He could've waited till the end of the month when the transactions would've been cleared out. But he didnt even bother to ask and the bank manager didnt ask or checked anything on the situation either. I wont bother telling him about this since this is his own damn fault and he wouldve just tried to blame it on me.

btw if you wasted your time with this vent, I'm sorry

It had to be done though

I am sorry. What a disaster! If your dad is like mine was, he has no idea, he just had to DO SOMETHING!! I suppose sending him a bill with all of your expenditures and losses due to his actions wouldn't help?

Banks sure don't seem to want to be banks anymore.
They are turning into bank robbers.

Banks are supposed to literally make money and loan it out using
your account as a reserve, and make much more money than you
put in the bank, so why are they stealing from you?

Watch MONEY IS DEBT. Google it. There are two versions.
Both should be on Youtube. It totally explains how banks
make money. It also points out how misinformed and
uneducated we are about money, so that they can totally
hijack the economy like they do. It is a cartoon, so you
can't get fooled again.
Version 2 explains the new way they work. After version 1,
you will understand what "laughing all the way to the bank"
really means.
