Whenever I have an odd dream or nightmare it bugs me that day and I hate to go to sleep that night. I have NO IDEA what I'll dream of course although ever since the suspension it has been some with the Psychology teacher and as of late my friend (who's now in College) Sure I analyze what the dream meant and research that but then I dread OMG what am I going to dream tonight kind of thing. :-(

Sometimes I get anxious, thinking over, in my mind, many times, what am I going to dream about? I've been like this, since the Fall. I should just let myself drift off to sleep, at a decent hour. I might even like my dreams.

When I was a teenager I became afraid to go to sleep, because every night was a nightmare or night terrors. I would only fall asleep from exhaustion about 3 am.Things were nuts in the family at that time though and I was internalizing major amounts of stress. Now it seems if I lie down for more than 10 minutes with my eyes closed I fall asleep.

I have bothersome dreams if I nap in the daytime, so I don't try to do that much. I figured out long ago that if something is chasing me in my dreams I just fly away or take control of the situation. I have had dreams where I was shot by terrorists and I feel the bullets hit and I feel I am dying. I don't get scared anymore because I know, even when I am dreaming, that I will wake up and it will be fine.

I don't know how you can do this yourself, but if you are able to feel more in control you will likely stop having night terrors.

Lately I haven't been wanting to go to sleep because I'm getting really tired (no pun intended) of having the same recurring dreams. They're not nightmares; I just wish I could dream about something different for a change.

Another reason I hate sleeping is because it takes time away from indulging in my obsessions.

If I didn't have to sleep, I wouldn't.
