yeah im 16 and going to my school's six form in september...thing is i got like a month and a half till then, i've been off school for about a month now and it sucks completely. i spent the latter six hours of yesterday wandering around the house and sitting face down on the living room table.
i really have no idea what to do, and this is boredom to the point of depression. weren't summer breaks supposed to be a good thing?

people just say "just go out with your freinds or something" which doesnt help when nobody wants to go out, all of my freinds stay inside all the time pretty much. sometimes i go for walks, i took a bus ride to the city centre, picadilly circus, twice this summer, just to go walk around on my own (one of the times i did just go to an arcade on my own so i spent some money on an arcade machine but it just took my money, didnt play anything and didnt return it, at which point i just thought "f*** it im going back home"). i sometimes play piano for a bit but doing only that gets a bit boring.

i mean walks on your own and gaming are fun and all but it gets a bit tiresome after repeating your daily solo-routines 30+ times.

seriously, what the hell am i supposed to do for the next month and a half?

Won´t your friends go to the cinema with you or something like that? If they like to stay inside maybe you could rent some dvds and go watch with them. My brother does that all the time. Going to the movies alone also could be an option if you don´t have anything else to do. Also you could buy a book to read in the summer break. I do that. Do you have any relatives that could go out with you (brother, cousin)? Is your family going to travel? Traveling with the family might help a bit. Good luck.

Call me geeky, but I was in the same position, so I went on a revision website (www.revisionworld.com) and memorised the whole of each of my AS level courses, which made my lower sixth year easier. Find something similar for the course you are doing!
I also got a part time job in a local art shop, and ate out a lot (thank goodness for www.discountvouchers.co.uk).
My point is there is a lot to do :) Make the most of your Summer - this may be the longest break you get before you retire!

I feel the same. Though I try to go to the beach to have fun, but I miss school so much. That is because school is where I excel the most in life. I use all of my talents and it gives me a great self-esteem. Going to summer fun there is too much noisy crowds, people who hit on me because I am wearing shorts, and of course, there is too much social stuff out there. I have however conquer the "boredom" by reviewing all of the stuff that I have learned in the previous year, and even giving my self a head start on my next level. I am in college and have finished my freshman year. I am going to school to be a Histology technician and had taken Anatomy last year. I have been reviewing my Anatomy book and even started to go on-line to learn the stuff that I am going to learn in my Introduction To Histology Class. I even bought Histology Flash Cards, so that I could get a head start on knowing all the basics and more. By doing that, i would be prepared, and ahead, of the class. I always did that studying ahead since Kindergarten. I remember during the summer if I was not at camp, my mo would make up problems and stuff that I would be learning in the next grade that I would be in that September. That is one of my secrets in why I was ahead of the class.
