wow, first post in a while

every now and then we might see a photo of a burnt out house, or mabye a mum crying over the death of her son, but we feel sad for them, im talking about things that really get you down, so down to....well if i mentioned it this post would be in the mature forum.

for me there are a few things, music, the song the day that never comes by metallica, i dont know why but it just makes me feel so down, also, raindrops by chopin, that beautifull piano piece put to the halo 3 ad, but for me its not just music, sometimes i will sit on a bench in my town, and nearly break down into tears, just staring at the looming structures and the people in it, i also get down when my friends talk about their relationships, i think its because i have never really had one, never "loved" another person.

what about you guys, what really gets you sad and suicidal?

The fact that I'm an aspie really bums me out. Sorry if that offends anyone, but hey, that's what I do. Its super hard to make friends, hold a job. Mostly because others think I'm weird and not because I can't do the work. Heck, I've even heard of aspies getting fired because they don't smile enough. Being unable to love or be loved really sucks too. Other aspies are different I know, but that's how it is for me. The one thing for sure is that when I die, I'll be alone. just like I am right now.

seeing or even just thinking about unwanted/unvalued things. everything and everybody should be wanted and/or valued by somebody. :(

Along the same lines: seeing or thinking about someone who completely fails to value you, despite expectations. Nothing more consistently guarunteed to get me down. :(

The nasty and hurtful ways that people act, towards each other, seeing mothers holler and spank their kids, for having meltdowns, which only makes things worse, for the kids. A sad song, perhaps. The hurtful words that go around, everywhere. The fact that I let myself go, in 2007-2009, hence the punk rock facade that I put on. Why didn't I just stick with The Kinks, those three years, instead of letting the loss of a friendship of a society boy, tarnish me, the January of 2007?

Anorexia makes me sad. It also send chills down my spine. I have trouble watching anything about it or reading anything about it because it horrifies me so much.

I've never had an eating disorder but I've had emotional torment.

Wasted time and missed opportunities make me sad. It's something that's on my mind often, the things I could've experienced or achieved if I could've worked harder to overcome my social phobia, or just been more brave and outgoing in general.

Being lonely. I like being alone when I choose to be alone but when I want to hang out with somebody and they're too busy, that makes me feel sad :(

It makes me sad to see my (autistic) daughter struggling with things that I found easy at her age. I wish I could just download my skillsets into her so that she would be able to read and do math and tie her shoes and ride a bike and converse with other children as I did at her age. Teaching is as close as anybody can come to downloading and I do it as much as I can. But I see her struggle and struggle and struggle so much harder than I ever did. The frustration of wanting to do these things and having her brain or motor skills not cooperate makes her melt down or shut down and it just makes me so sad to watch. It was never that hard for me and I wish it wasn't that hard for her.

On the plus side, there are things she can do that I have never been able to do, even by middle age. She has a nearly eidetic memory for things in her life, her enviroment, that she's heard or seen, and when she far surrpasses me in that arena it makes me very proud. Also hopeful that this amazing memory will be a balance to the things she finds hard. I point out to her the amazing (to me) feats of memory in the hopes that she will embrace that as something she is good at and doesn't struggle with. But even so, the long struggles are painful for me to watch.

Failing with people. Being unappreciated. Being useless.

some classical music is upbeat and thumpin'-bumpin.'

beats the hell out of st. vincent de paul or salvation army or dollar stores. shopping wallyworld is like driving a chevy, as opposed to scrounging at the dump which is like driving a skateboard with a wheel missing.

ever hear of the hafler surround circuit? google it, it is the cheapest surround around. or you could try "live end/dead end." both will surround you with sound for relatively little moolah.

yeah, that sucks big wind. but it's better than the great depression, cold comfort albeit.
