most of the time i would like to think that i have friends on the Gold Coast,
but there are times that I think that I actually don't have any,

when i need serious help,
when i want to do things with others,
when i want to join activities...

that i realised, maybe i don't really have any friends, at all.

 then i would laugh at myself

do i have friends on the Gold Coast?
I would like to think I do
but sometimes everyday life tells me that i don't

 hahaha melbi i can really laugh at you now, you know what you're really good at? scaring people off  you idiot! can you plz stop scaring people for once?

For an aspie, it's hard to find true friends. As for me, I only have two right now, both of which have proved it, unconciously. Fortunately, with the right situations, you can test them. I'm not saying go overboard, like aspies usually do, just something like (and this worked, believe it or not) : if you annoy someone, and you realize it, and leave. If they can contact you by other means, and they do, that means they are a true friend. Just don't let them know it's a test. For me, it was accidental. But who knows? It may have happened to other aspies as well, and it helps them realize "who's true, and who's a fool" (If you don't listen to a ton country music in America, you may not know where I got that from).

I don't have any REAL friends. I can chat to the staff members to some degree at my group home, but obviously there is always that metaphorical line that can't be crossed. They can only offer so much. Part of me likes that, I know where I stand in terms of what I can and can't do with them, but part of me longs for a friend who is a REAL friend, not just a staff member. I am hoping to learn BSL (British sign language) this year so you never know, I might make some deaf friends. I can only hope!

And don't put yourself down, that'll just make you feel worse :)

Trust me on that

I have a hard time, finding true friends, myself. I'm lucky, that I have the two true friends, that I have.

I only have 1, possibly 2 friends although the second one I don't know if they care about me a lot but I know that they still talk to me. The first one is my girlfriend though....

I'd drive up the coast if you were ever in need of serious help, melbi. I guess its a case not thinking anyone cares enough to help? If there are people who care, it'd be no burden on them to help, you just have to have the courage to ask.

Thank you blue_bean, that means a lot to me.
you read me, "not thinking anyone cares enough to help" is totally what i felt.

by the way, guess what my NT friend in uni said to me when i told him that i am feeling suicidal. he said "it's a joke"

i hate asking for help. i used to ask for help, but getting rejected when you need help is painful and heartbroking... i dont want to feel hurt anymore. feeling suicidal is hurting enough, being rejected when asking for help make it far more worse.

Melbi says:

Tell me about it! if you want to "test" some body have a (severe) mental breakdown if their their to help you pick up the pieces their your friend, my "family" and "friends" turned on me , like pack animals turning on the ill and the wounded my GP knows exactly the effect that had on me , interesting :? he seems to think I should cull them from my life which is surprising coming from a devout catholic/family man.

Lucky I had my pets to draw down from :D . They stopped me going through with it......

You're all probably better off than I am, because I never have had any friends. Not to be too depressive, but the only attention I've gotten by someone is nearly getting raped.
