Hi all,
I want to work over the other side of the country over summer (I'm Australian...it's still winter here lol) because i think it'l be fun, and there aren't many places to work where I live doing what I want to do. The problem is, I gotta fly over and probably alone. Now I don't have a fear of flying or heights or anything, I've flown before about 10 times. I know people who have been on 22 hour flights and outrageous things like that, but I do get incredibly nervous. I've had panic attacks in the air before, and I do this thing where my depth perception goes out of whack if i try to imagine how high up I am. I don't mind taking off or landing, but being up in the air makes me extremely jittery and nervous. I get nervous before getting on the plane, and nervous a few days before. I also want to travel, but that's out of the question due to the long flights.
Another one of my problems is my dad used to be good at flying, but got worse and worse and now can't even go on a plane. I don't want that to happen to me!! !

How do I stop myself becoming so nervous about flying? I don't want it to ruin any chances I have of getting anywhere. I want to be one of those people who like flying and don't get nervous at all, how do you do it?!
