I have felt that everything that I have posted on the Wrong Planet forums has not been acknowledged or even had a reply. I know others have had this problem in the past. It makes me feel that nobody cares about me, how I feel, what I like or what I have to say. This is supposed to be a community of support for people with Autism and Asperger's but instead it has not given me one bit of support. I get even more depressed when I come on Wrong Planet and look at all the sad, depressing posts in The Haven. Even when I post things on the Art, Music and Writing forum nobody responds or acknowledges my posts. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. I have felt even more alienated on Wrong Planet than when I am around my NT friends. It things like this that make me question my existence and make me want to kill myself. If nothing I say or think matters, than I'd be better off dead.

OK, I posted and thus proved you wrong.
Not everyone gets a lot of responses, and sometimes the posts that generate a lot of responses are boring to me.

I don't typically browse the individual forums - if it doesn't come up on the WP Homepage que, I never even know about it.

you only have 53 posts.
don't worry, once you're a bit more established, you'll start getting more replies as people start becoming more accustomed to seeing you :) .

Also, a change of avatar might help.
Something more noticeable or interesting perhaps.
or at least bigger than that little square one you're using now.

I also don't look at anything other than the Homepage cue . . . there are too many forums and threads to have time to look at them all individually. Please don't take it personally! People here do care, and would never deliberately ignore you make you feel pointless.

:flower:

Also, I think you're looking at the cup-half-empty - alright, so not thousands of people have responded to your posts - but some have! Also, quite a few of your posts are about quite specialist things that not everyone will have an opinion on or will be able to relate to. Don't be sad! No-one wants you to feel so depressed. Send me a message if ever you want to talk - I always respond.

P.s. - I see you like Morrissey . . . he is the Lord of the Dance.

@Seanmw Thanks for the advise about a new avatar. I found a big one but I hate how they are so limited with the size. I only have my webcam as a camera. I would post a picture of my self but my webcam doesn't allow for small pictures that conform to the pixel limits on WP. I know I haven't posted much on here but the thing that ticks me off is that people don't seem to care about what I have to say. I talk about my favorite music and no one seems to acknowledge some of what I've posted or that they like this band or that artist. I always thought that music knowledge and appreciation was the thing I was really good at. Now I'm not so sure.

@Poppycocteau Thanks for noticing the Morrissey lyrics. I really like his lyrics because he is once of the few songwriters that I can actually fully idenify with his songs. It's not the same for Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, etc. I see you have Cocteau in your username. Do you by any chance know or like The Cocteau Twins? They are an amazing band. I really like listening to them when I'm depressed. There is something about Elizabeth Fraser's voice. Truly breathtaking.

Well, the lack of responses can be partly influenced due to the fact some people on here only respond to why they are interested, and as most of us are on the spectrum, narrow bands of interests abound.

Also a large amount of people only ever look at the topics on the front page. And sadly you get a lot of the more "small talkish" and "pointless banter" types of threads up there.

I had to go take a look to figure out what you and Willard had mentioned.

For either of you and/or for anyone else who might be interested, http://www.wrongplanet.net/forums.html is where you can come to the top of all forums ... and then take a look at the two links on the right and near the top. One of them is for keeping up with threads where you have already posted, and the other is for new posts made anywhere else since the last time you logged on ... and that would include the links in the window on the Homepage so you do not miss the most-active ones.

That's too bad you don't get many replies. I sometimes have that problem. I'll try to keep an eye out for posts by you although you seem to mainly post about music which I don't talk about too much.

To reply , or not to reply?
That is the question.

I haven't seen you around much, but if it makes you feel better, I can keep an eye out and give a reply when I can.
