Well, as of late I've been having the random urge from out of nowhere to just punch/kick/attack things just because. I know Its not because of pent up anger. I've tried Meditation and just talking about it to calm the urge, but it just doesn't help. Id get myself a big heavy punching bag, but of course there are no local gyms, and I can't afford anything anyways. Exercise in general just doesn't help the urge.

Anyone have any ideas what to do, or even had similar experiences?

You have an unsolved dilemma, of a fundamental contradiction within you, and you have kept it for too long

The first time it happened to me it was at 19 when I got the urge to throw my Math teacher trough the window. No obvious reason at all, I liked the teacher and the class was in a basement...

Hm. Hitting apples with a baseball bat can be satisfying... you get that whole destructo thing without actually damaging anything. I have a corner in my basement where I keep junk I can smash into a wall when I really need to get out my grr... I really recommend that if you are able to do that. I always feel a lot better after about five minutes of throwing old, useless tiles into a basement wall. And as a bonus, if you are a creative type, you then have pieces of stuff you can use for mosaics later. If you have no tiles handy, dollar store plates or garage sale dishes work great as well.

I find it odd that exercise does not work for you. It generally helps me. have you ever tried walking with heavy objects or arm/leg weights? I have been digging on the leg weight walking lately. It has been helpful for me. Eh... different things work for different folks, no? I hope you can find something that works for you.

Well, exercise really doesnt do much for depression either in my case. The only exercise that DID help in the past was my LARP group. Too bad it is disbanded now. I rather enjoy beating people senseless with padded weapons.
