Does anyone relate to this? A feeling of cynacism taking over, devouring the free spirited loving joy, of a free soul?

I seriously feel like I've lost my inner feelings of joy and beautiful love of the world.

You're late to the party, I lost that when I was 8.

I lost it at 9.

Edit: I should probably mention that I seem to have started regaining bits of it at 24.

Expectations are the issue there ... and that is where cynicism can so easily step in ahead of simple reality. Everything around us really is still just as beautiful as ever, but some of us now have too many "filters" blocking a clear view.

I wish to free my inner child once more. :) I wish to be happier, and sensitive, without feeling ashamed to be... and to be free from any kind of mental prejudice that might harbour in me.

My inner child abandoned me for a few years, and than she came back to me last September.
