Finish this sentence for me. It can be a little thing, something to be proud of in the moment, or it can be something special and unique about you.

I know you fellow aspies are all beautiful, and I know the world doesn't often take the time to tell us, so let's tell ourselves and everyone else. I've been seeing a lot of people speaking out about the recent suicides from bullying in America, and it's meant a lot to me for those of us on the spectrum--who are always different and always set apart because of it, and often not given the space to be ourselves. It's a painful journey. One of the quotes I love from the "it gets better campaign" had me thinking I need to post this on my bathroom mirror:

‎"And all those things that make you different will become the things that everyone treasures most about you."

I used to really not believe that. Then someone told me I'm beautiful, and I believed him, because he knew and accepted spectrum me even before I did. Now I tell myself, regularly...but sometimes I forget. Maybe we all need to take some time and remember why each of us is beautiful, just as we are right now, today.

I'll start.

I'm beautiful because I do not quit, even if things get difficult.

I'm beautiful because I'm genuine. There is nothing fake about me because I have nothing to hide. The way I act around other people is the way I act all the time. What you see is what you get when you're with me.

I don't think i'm beautiful for any reason.
I've been sitting here thinking about it for literally 20 minutes.
I can't think of a single thing.

Emlion writes beautifully, for one thing. And is insightful and honest, which I think is beautiful.

I think you're mistaken, emlion. I think that your modesty and ability to think deeply and your humble post make you very beautiful. I want you to keep thinking, and approach yourself with the same honesty. There are always two sides to every coin. Choose to flip over those ugly thoughts and see it differently. I believe in you.

I'm a firm believer in inner beauty. I see integrity, intelligence, introspection and authenticity amongst a few things I see as beautiful. Outer beauty is just here to provide an face to cover up what truly makes something.

I am beautiful because I look like Mick Avory who is also my role model. I'm also a very gentle, helpful and innocent person like he is. I've always been that way. It's very unusual that someone looks like Mick in my part of the world.
