Reality is too cruel to me. I can't handle it, instead I have always been seeking towards a fantasy-world full of imaginary friends and enemies.

But people around me do everything they can to get me to realise reality and live in the real world. But I can't. Everytime I am faced with reality I get a mental break down.

I'd rather die doing things in my imaginary world because I looked away from reality, than realizing reality and die while at in the real world.

Dying in the real world is like looking at a firing squad at the moment they execute you: Cruel and unusual!

I'm so scared of reality, that I can't handle it!

I used to be the same way, until mid last September. I couldn't handle reality. I was there at one time.

I have lived in a fantasy world sense puberty . It has taken the stress away that I knew as a child. I dont think that living in a world of fantasy is so bad. I tryed whene I was a teen to get out of the fantasy world and live with my peers or get a girlfriend. it didnt do much I was a mess and I couldent function. I live in an isolated world in my head that finds no establishment in reality. I have no need to do things that are in my head in reality. people who say that dreamers shouldent dream are the ones that slow down progress for the world for dreamers are the start of everything that is new and good.

Make your own. I spend so much time thinking about engines I don't have time to be depressed.

if you are scared to face reality and you are going through somthing that you have to face than I can say that I have a really hard time as well. I have been going through somthin like that myself recently. I have tryed to face it but I get snagged on the difficult to deal with and uncomfortable feelings I get about it. I hope that you are not in a situation that you are in trouble in reality and need help. is that the case?

I don't know, because the government is talking so much about my source of income (disabilty benefits), and wants to cut it to pieces and throw them away.

That causes a lot of distress to me.

thell probably defend benefits like disability to the bitter end. I know they put it as a priority in oregon so I have seen.

I live in Europe, and in Europe the word "welfare" has become just as much a shame as the word "muslim" or "jew" (in the 1930's).

Most Europeans believe welfare needs to be abolished and replaced with darwinian principles, just like the nazis and fascists wanted (mind you, Fascism originated in Europe).

Especially The Conservative People's Party here in Denmark said that those recieving Disability Benefits should just pull themselves together and get a full-time job and a recent survey conducted in the Fall 2010 said that 61 % of the Danes wanted to abolish Disability Benefits.

I have a hard time with reality as well though I am involved with it most of the time. Ever since I was a kid, I immersed myself in fantasy in the forms of books, video games, tv shows and movies so that I wouldnt have to really deal with reality. When college came I indulged in drugs and alcohol instead. Now that ive quit drugs and excessive drinking reality is hitting me full on and im in your boat. I need to get a job, I need to go back to uni and get my degree...

I can understand why the pro abolitionists see it the way they do, i mean imagine what its like to be them. If you worked 40 hours a week, had no serious health problems, married, 2 kids whose welfare and education you are responsible for....I dont think its plausible to say you can be that sympathetic to people who cant work or get disability checks. That just looks like money being leeched away by undesireables who dont contribute to society.... Which is not true but im sure thats what those abolitionists view it as. Its kind of how you touched on Facism, Hitler viewed gays, gypsies, Jews and the like as undesireables who contributed nothing and only took.
