I just found out that two people from the neighborhood where I grew up passed away over the past few weeks. The first one had a stroke a couple weeks ago. He was the same age as me, 39. The second I just found out about this morning. He was 42 and had liver cancer.

Although I haven't really kept in touch with these guys, it's still upsetting. I've known them most of my life. It really puts life into perspective.

I guess I just needed to tell someone.

I would find that distressing, as well. Especially since these people were close in age to you. I am glad you could share about it here.

sorry to hear about your losses The Weird Pig. I lost one of my childhood neighbors 6 years ago, she was my baby sitter and played with me when I was a baby/kid....she was in a car with her drunk driver boyfriend who got them both killed.

my condolences

I'm sorry to hear that, I've just reached the age that people I know start to die at, it is unsettling. At least everyone on the entire planet can relate.
