Well i'm not really feeling depressed or anything. I had a sore throat develop last friday, and its gotten worse each day. I went to the doctors tuesday, got put on anti-biotics, went back thursday evening, got put on more and in liquid form, and strong painkillers. Went back to the doctors friday, he said it'd definitely got worse. So I went to hospital and spent the night in there. Had my throat drained with a needle this morning, which helped. But now it feels just as bad, unless I have painkillers, but think i've taken too many, cause now my stomach aches, so that means I can't take anymore painkillers for my throat, and its hurting again now. :( I can't even speak properly. Might have to go back and get my tonsils taken out. I don't really need this, cause january is a hard month for money and stuff, so I can't work untill its better.

wow, you have been through a lot. i hope you took your pain killers on a full stomach. it sounds like either your tonsils or adenoids or uvula may need to be examined further. just a thought. i wish you luck.

Thanks, trouble is I couldn't really eat. I've actually woken up after sleeping like I was in a coma and sweating so much, like I was sleeping in a swimming pool, and do feel a bit better.

the coma-like sleep and the excess sweating makes me think you have a sensitivity to narcotic analgesics. they can cause sweating in people who take too many at one time, or take them too close together. i have the opposite problem, in that it takes enough to flatten an elephant to have any analgesic effect on me.

What, too many painkillers you mean? I was pumped full of anti biotics on the drip as well yesterday.

yes. some folk have a very low tolerance for narcs. my late mother was one of 'em, she took two hydrocodones due to a very severe back sprain, and it put her out for most of a day, and she was notably sweaty.

Yeah, it was so swollen I couldn't hardly speak. I kept taking so many painkillers cause of how bad it was, probably way too many.
I don't mind them, obviously not in my throat though ha. When I got my tatoo done, I was feeling a bit anxious, but then reminded myself "its just a needle" :P
