Last night I went to be at 1:30AM (Since I was looking at my online College work that got posted at 12AM). I had asked the night before if the 9 year old was staying home sick and dad said no she'll be fine. He then woke me at 6:30 GET UP YOU HAVE TO WATCH THE 9 YEAR OLD. (Me: I didn't go to sleep until 1:30 can you send her in here?) NO GET YOUR ASS UP AND GET READY FOR THE DAY!! !! !! ! I trudged out of bed and went to the bathroom with it dark and cried. (I don't do well on 5 hours of sleep). Then the kids said she feels better and by 7AM dad and both kids left. I went back to bed and just woke up at 12PM since the phone rang. Mom asked what I had been doing I said I was sleeping and the whole (not to bed until 1:30 issue) she rudely said WHY!? I said I was looking at college stuff (She huffed and hung up the phone). Now mom has the 9 year old at her work instead of dad bringing her to the house. I just hate I broke down like that. :-)

some days are shite like that and we break down. My sleep schedule is so erratic that I'm must be in bed by ten. If I am not, I only sleep in hour increments as it is and everything hurts emotionally and physically.

I understands why you were online, but you need adequate rest esp. if it makes things go more smoothly with family.

Even my online friends send me to be at ten, no matter what we're discussing.

Thank You. Honestly I could have waited until today to view the courses but have College as a special interest so I was eager to see as the clock struck 12AM and what the course work entailed. :-)

Well, the bright side is you should get a break from random babysitting for awhile

Honestly Zelda, this doesn't sound like your fault in this case. Maybe your parents are just both really stressed (especially your mum having to mind your sister at work). I don't think your dad should have snapped at you.

No worries. From the way you referred to her I assumed she was someone outside your immediate family.. makes the situation a bit different then... like you suddenly being volunteered to look after someone else's kid or something.

Since its your sis then it seems to me the whole thing was either one major mis-communication between your mom and dad as to who was taking care of her.

Just my 2 cents: my husband and I do not make our older kids watch the younger ones. We chose to have them, so they're our responsibility. *shrug* Just my opinion, FWIW.
