Alright, so here's the deal. I've posted about this before a while ago but I need some advice. I am currently taking a year off from high school just to relax and save money for college (which I will be entering this fall full-time. I'm taking five courses each semester, so 15 credit hours). However, I am thinking of just outright quitting my job a few months early before school. (we're talking in between April and June here). There are quite a few reasons for this decision, listed below;

1) It's part-time, not many hours
2) Pay sucks, minimum wage here in British Columbia, Canada is $8 an hour
3) Customers hate me! A lot of them think I'm weird or odd. I feel incredibly alienated while working
4) Managers don't really like me either. And so do some co-workers.

I forgot to mention that I work at a movie theater. Not a really good place for an aspie, lol. Now before many of you get mad at me for not finding a full time job, trust me I've tried. I might be getting a temp position with the census of canada this spring but no guarantee's. Anyway's, the whole reason I'm still stuck with this job was because of tuition for college. I am going back to school for four year's, full time every single year. I have enough for one year and by the time I quit possibly enough for my first semester of my second year. My parents have agreed to support me but I don't want to put stress on them. The cost of one year at the school I am going to is around $5000. Split that figure in half and you have the cost for one semester. I know that's not terribly expensive for college/university but that's the typical cost of post-secondary institutions around here (University of British Columbia has a tuition fee of around $5500 to $10000 per year, depending on the program). I have also looked at student loans, which I am highly considering. In my third year I hope to enter a co-op program where I work and study at the same time. I will be paid and if I do take out student loans I will use the money that I earn from this program to pay them off and also help pay for my fourth year.

So, any advice yall? This whole paragraph was put together in a rush so I'm sorry if I left any details out.

Stay with the job until a month before class starts. You can use the money. A months time to wind down and switch to student life is more than enough.

As for the loans... Really get them as a last resort... Its much better to owe your parents money than a bank...and you really dont want to be neck deep in debt frsh out of college.

My 2 cents...
