Thought I could handle it at the age of 19, but it overthrown me at the end. I ended up having to walk away in tears.

It made it tough only because I recently had to put my companion down a year ago due to cancer. I would give anything to see him again.

Surprisingly, I thought this movie was going to be another cheesy kid's movie. I was horribly mistaken. It's actually quite a touching movie and had an amazing quote to remember it by.

A dog has no use for fancy cars, big homes, or designer clothes. A water log stick will do just fine. A dog doesn't care if you're rich or poor, clever or dull, smart or dumb. Give him your heart and he'll give you his. How many people can you say that about? How many people can make you feel rare and pure and special? How many people can make you feel extraordinary?

RIP, Corkee. You were my best friend and were always there for me.

Sorry for your loss. Losing a pet you are close to really sucks. He looks like a nice dog. I especially like the first pic with the hat on.

I saw Marley and Me just one time on HBO. I was bawling. I can't stand movies like that. I have a 6 year old West Highland Terrier who will be 7 later this year. I don't know how I will feel when he dies. Probably go into major depression. I am still sad over my aunt's and uncle's beloved Norfolk Terrier who died almost a year ago.

Considering I tried to commit suicide two weeks after my own golden retriever passed away due to old age, I'm confident in saying that I will NOT be viewing that movie ever. It would probably put me into an emotional tailspin for several days.

Not my kind of movie, but I become very attached to my gerbils. It's very hard to lose them.

I tried watching that move last year thinking it would brighten up my day but it just made me really miss my old dog Alice in the end. I still have her name tag in an old altoid can in my drawer. It still kinda smells like her too... I hope the smell never goes away so I don't open the can a lot. I'm really sorry about your dog, Anspaughnato. *another awkward aspie hug*

Hi,

That Marley and Me movie was on the other day. Luckily, I didn't watch it. I was a complete mess when my Guinea Pig died nearly 3 years ago. A Guinea Pig is not a dog but he was my best friend...
