:cr  y:
People failed to understand me when I was young , I grew up with my stepfather and biological mother , my stepfather abused me severely physically and my mother was an alcoholic ,I was never diagnosed with AS until now and I'm turning 27 this year , I stay on my own and have no contact with my family and I also don't have a gf . What I need to know concerning not being diagnosed earlier in my childhood will that be the cause for all the branching complexities to be present in my life now like anger and rejection , my childlike behavior tendencies in the adult world , severe depression and anxiety???????

Please people give me your views and experience I'm so lost
I would appreciate any views and comments

I don't think diagnosis has anything to do with it. That sucks what you've been through in the past. As for the stuff you're exeriencing its common for aspies diagnosed or not.

There is no end to the rejection for most of us.

Sad but true. I wish there was, and I hope you feel better soon.

if you were diagnosed young, you may understand the complexities a bit better, but they'd still be there.

A less than ideal situation growing up would tend to complicate anyone's life.

I don't know what other perspective you are looking for.

No, it sounds like your misery is caused by other things. An early diagnosis wouldn't have done much good, especially if your parents wouldn't have done anything about it.

i think it's more likely now that you're aware of it, you're aware of the pointers of it more.

Thanx EMlion that makes sense to me now , It seems to me that I haven't developed good social skills making me subjective to trust people who smile and acknowledge me and then putting all my trust into them and only to be rejected at a later stage normally within a span of two months then I jus completely shut myself from the world and all human contact therefor my absence in the social life , I tend to talk about non important subjects that I normally collect data about since childhood like astro physics and big bang theories , blackholes ,how we as humans came into existense lol the list goes on , mind you I am very proud to be diagnosed with AS It confirmed my beliefs that I have something important to contribute in life in a very unheard of and normally percieved way , I think now I can start working out a routine that can keep me happy and surviving for each passing day Thanx a million guys and I hope one day I can be of help too you :) Btw if anyone would like to read some of my poems , ask its for free they are quite inspiring :)

Some people say it gets worse, others that it improves. Or at least, you learn to deal with it better.
