EVERY WAKING MOMENT I AM CONSTANTLY SEEING AND HEARING STUFF ABOUT THE WORLD ENDING AND I CAN'T STAND IT ANY MORE IF IT'S SO HORRIBLE WHY DON'T WE ALL JUST KILL OURSELVES INSTEAD OF DYING FROM HORRIBLE RADIATION SICKNESS
LIKE IN JAPAN WHERE THE NUKE PLANT RADIATION IS SEEPING INTO EVERYTHING FROM THE EARTHQUAKE/TSUNAMI I TURN ON THE TV AND ON THE HISTORY CHANNEL EVERY OTHER SHOW IS ABOUT THE APOCALYPSE AND THE PREDICTIONS ALL COMING TRUE!! ! WHY WAS I BROUGHT INTO AN AGE LIKE THIS??? I HATE GOD AND JESUS AND AND THE UNITED STATES AND THE MIDDLE EAST AND I HATE MYSELF FOR HAVING TO LIVE ON A DOOMED PLANET I'VE BEEN LIVING IN TERROR OF THE WORLD ENDING FOR YEARS AND I CAN'T STAND IT AM I THE ONLY ONE NOT FREAKING OUT AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO GIVES A CRAP ABOUT THIS?????????????! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !!??????????????

We'll all have a good laugh on December 13th, 2012.

You may be too young to remember but in 1999 Discovery and a bunch of other channels went haywire with the Y2K bug shutting down civilization as we know it. And again in 2003 - another of Nostrodamus's failed 'predictions'. The Mayan calendar 'ends' on Dec 12th, 2012. They calculated three ages across 1000's of years. That date is simply the roll over point for the next cycle. There are no Mayan texts calling it the END only sensationalized documents with dubious interpretations.

If it is the actual end, they can all say 'I told you so'.

Thinking about things like that scare me too, so you are not the only one. I don't really think that the world os going to end any time soon, though. I am just worried about being bombed by one of the various countries that hates is (the U.S.). I am very sorry that you feel this way. But, I must add that since I have finally been put on an appropriate anxiety med...those thoughts have decreased quite a bit. Maybe you also have anxiety? I have a panic disorder and I have a lot of...OCD ish thoughts that, while I rarely act on them, really cause me a lot of stress.

You make nuclear meltdown sound like it's such a bad thing! I've developed a fascination with the apocalyptic possibility and references to it. I wonder how I would fare in such a world. What's the worst thing that could happen? I could die, right?

Next week, a giant meteor will crash in the Atlantic ocean and the US and most of Europe will perish.

But yeah, it gets annoying, and none of the previous doomsday theories occured.

I think the Mayans just got tired of making calendars. Oh, and... they weren't Christian. (Jesus ain't my homeboy either, but just saying...)
Anyway... I hope the world doesn't end in 2012, but I know that if it does, it will be just because certain politicians so desperately WANT to feel like Apocalyptic heroes, and have access to weapons that could blast the s**t out of the planet.

I would not mind living in decline of society, screw it I am well armed and have plenty of grudges perhaps I will do some hunting. :wink: I wonder what is the best way to cook NTs?

Use a 10 or 12 inch skillet, preferably of the nonstick variety.

Fry the bacon until brown, but not too crisp, then set it aside to drain.

Then place a large round platter over the skillet and gripping platter and skillet firmly together invert the hash on top.

Serve with poached eggs if desired.

The end of the world is the end of earthly life for everyone of us = our death. So don't worry about it: we all have to die soner or later. It may be for an asteroid that crash on the Earth making all our lives end at the same time or a car crash that makes me die alone. For the individual doesn't change anything. So don't worry too much and keep living until the end will come. And the end can come at any moment, so be ready. I mean, try not to hate Jesus.

I used to care about all these world ending theories, but after living through like three so-called 'apocalypses', I think we're good for the time being.

The way I see it life could end at any moment, so you might as well get what you can out of life....until it does end. Maybe the world will end(i find it doubtful) and maybe it wont, but one thing is for certain I am alive right now and you are alive right now so live life and don't stress about the end of the world, or the end of your life. Death is inevidable so its best not to focus too much on that and focus on what you want to do with your life.

Sometimes I find it difficult to enjoy life.....and even now I would not say I completly enjoy life, but I am alive and there are some things I can still enjoy.
