Group therapy
Back in June 1999 I attended group therapy. I remember the occupation therapist saying we'll have to get you a girlfriend. I was lent a book on body language. There was a nice female there who was 28yrs old and I was 33yrs old at the time. She was introduced to the group and the occupational therapist said she was single. After the session I stayed and talked to her and she sat very close in fact I though she was going to sit on my lap. She told me she was half Egptian and half English. That week I was on cloud nine. I decided to pluck up the courage and ask her out to see the film "The Mummy". She said she's not sure so I must have asked her to let me know. She rang me up and said she can't because it is unprofessional. I was very upset by this and decided to right her a letter. I was going to post it down town but came across her with a group in the library so gave her the letter. She rang up later in the evening and told me she was to be reprimanded. I said that i'm not going to go back to group therapy and that I would'nt stand a snowballs chance in hell with someone like you. She was a pyschology student from the UEA. Late on in the week the occupational therapist in charge rang to say that she had be told to reconsider her career and was asked to leave. This made my depression even worse than ever and at one stage my sister had to stop me from taking all my anti-depressant pills. She was obviously there to shine a light on the peasants. I must have been her lab rat. Perhaps one of her assignments was to befriend on of the patients for study for some university points. I couldn't go back to that building because of the memory that happened there. This like the incident at college in the 1980's has damaged me emotionally. These are what my memories are of girls.
