Do you ever feel people are against you at WP?

It's probably in my head, but it seems no matter how well reasoned or innocuous I try to be, there's always somebody that takes offense and wants to start an argument. When I try to explain myself and calm them, it just backfires and they get angrier. This might have something to do with spending time in the ppr, but I'm starting to feel it's everywhere. It seems a lot times, people just love to get pointlessly offended and go to verbal war. It sucks, because WP used to be a more logical neutral place, now everybody just wants to get pissed at everything. And back to my original point, I sometimes feel it's just me. Do you ever feel like this?

I don't feel like this...I feel a little like no one pays me any attention, that better known members are more important, that I am a little annoyance to everyone here or that I would be if they paid attention...but I also feel this is more about my issues than anyone else's.

I think it is likely that your'e misreading other people's tone - after all, tone is a pain to express online - or maybe you're taking things personally, after all one trait many of us has is being defensive and not taking constructive criticism well *shrugs*

The more paranoid I am at any given moment, the more I feel people are against me. Of course, things have changed in the last year or two, not so much here, but everywhere. People that were once calm are no longer so, and it's people that log onto user names on message boards.

Yes. Sometimes when I actually want help from others I am completely ignored. Aparently pictures of cats and flowers are more important than me.

I have the same problem. But usually I don't ask others for help. I think this is why. What's so great about kittens anyway?

I am afraid I am guilty of a lot of cat and flower pictures. But I guess it is because my problems seem pretty insurmountable, so I am pretty bored with them now and I just ignore them in favour of other entertainment.

No, I don't feel like anyone is against me...being against me would require not ignoring me

That is true.

I do feel like that sometimes but looking back on things; I don't think people were against me. It was just that one or both of us may of been upset &/or we had a misunderstanding. There was one exception a few months ago but that has been over for a couple months now

I feel everyone is against me because I am a Christian and vote Republican.

I don't dislike anyone here and I don't feel like anyone specifically dislikes me either. Sometimes I get the "Everyone Hates Me's" but I've come to recognize that is my own mood and I get off the internet and do some self-care until this passes, usually within 24 - 48 hours.
