I think myself, being a huge worrier, it made my Uni experience a whole lot harder. I would believe if I failed a test that I had reached something catastrophic, when it usually wasn't the case. Forget about failing a subject, I would have gone nuts. But in hindsight, you can only do as good as you can do, so I think you're making the right choice. Something I found very hard to believe at the time, was that there is no right or wrong pattern in getting a degree. So some people repeat a few subjects, others start work and go part time, others skip a subject or two due to various reasons. I used to believe there's only one way to do it, and if I didn't do it that way, I was a complete failure. So you shouldn't feel you've let yourself down, because in the long run it's probably the best choice.
