Only just came back from the vet.

They think it was either a spinal injury, stroke, or something else. There wasn't much they could do.

Mum isn't home yet and I don't know what to say when she gets home.

blue_bean is very sad

Thanks guys. He was 14, which is beyond retirement age in cat years I think.

It's going to be sad in the mornings and afternoons without him there wanting to be fed.

At least mum will have one less animal to look after when I leave home I guess :( :(

My condolences, Blue Bean. Cats are wonderful creatures, and good friends.

You've had 14 good years with a great friend. I know how much that hurts. I lost my cat Bubba after 16 years of friendship. I have a new cat now whose name is Silver but I still miss Bubba. You have my deepest sympathies.

Sorry to hear of your kitty's passing. :(
I lost a cat 5 years ago, he was almost like a son to me and I still miss him. He was nearly 16 and he had intestinal cancer, but unfortunately there was nothing to be done, and he had to be put to sleep. I had him cremated so I could always have him with me.

Where you able to talk to your mom yet? I imagine she'll be just as sad as you... :(

Yes mum got home at 10pm. She was sad but she didn't really cry or anything like me, at least not in front of me.

Someone has gotta tell my brother now, as he was really fond of the cat and always expressed interest in taking it to live with him up north.

Now I'm just baffled as to how my cat went from fine 48 hours ago to literally half dead when I found him this evening. He did vomit a little blood yesterday but we assumed it was just meat from a bird he might have caught. He was totally limp and not moving, like a ragdoll. His pupils weren't contracting in the vets light. In fact he wasn't even reacting when the vet put her fingers right near his eyes, she could literally touch his eyeballs. Not curling up his claws around the vets finger.
