It's funny, in a sad way. Sometimes I really wish I were stupid or something. My personal life experiences aside, I find that the more I learn about the world and people, the more I hate them. I hate all the stupid things humans do! I hate all the stupid crap happening in the world these days; it would take hours just trying to write it all down! Hmm...Maybe I'll do that in another post. The more I read and research, the worse I feel. I'm actually burdened by all the knowledge I accumulate, all the depressing facts and statistics. Ignorance really must be bliss, a bliss I will never know.

The same thing happens to me whenever I learn something new about
wall-street, politics, mercenaries, police, lawyers, prisons, etc etc etc ...
These things are seriously *effing depressing for me.
What kind of things are bugging you?

I understand what you are saying. People are capable of terrible things.

But, people also do amazing beautiful things every day too.

And, knowledge can also be used to benefit others. Are there any situations you have learned about where you could make a positive difference?

This. The world is a terrible place. The world is also a wonderful place. It all depends on where you want to live. I'm not talking about denial, but don't let the terrible blind you to the wonderful.

You have to balance it out, don't just focus on the problems but also take into account everything that is good. If you only take in knowledge of negative things it will lead to anger. If you take in balanced info with enough time you will develop wisdom. Being mature is being able to take in the situation as it is now and thinking about real solutions without letting the situation emotionally affect you in a negative way. Because being angry will not help you solve that problem sooner. You can get bogged down thinking about how unfair things are right now and how they should be different. This is something that can only lead to anger because its fiction that you are thinking about. The past cannot change and you cannot change things with a flick of your wand, so if you focus on wanting these things to change that will make you angry. Its hard to see the reality objectively and focusing on the real solutions that take time to reach. The only thing that can come from focusing on things that lie beyond your power is frustration.

To give an example a lot of people use this argument to support their belief that there is no god: there cant be a god because if there where he would not let all this s**t happen. This is just a failed argument only focusing on every problem while not taking into account every two things that work for every single thing that humans think does not. Disease for instance is a necessity in the biology that allows us to be here. If you want to eliminate disease you have to eliminate all life. It goes hand in hand there is no escaping certain bad things in order to have good things exist. I don't believe in a god by the way.

Just know that almost nobody will want to hear about the problems you have knowledge of. So do not take it personal when people are not interested, that is just the way they are. I have tried many times to spark an interest in people about topics that i think are important like the future of the world etc. But they honestly do not give a f**k, and you cant forcibly change them.

You can only stimulate them on their level, maybe this takes 10 years for them to get where you are now or maybe they will never get there. Most important is that you know better, You are only responsible for your thoughts/actions not those of others. Counteracting or not contributing to problems further is the only thing you can do. Knowing that it takes changes from every single person on this planet can lead to frustration when you see that people don't make those changes when you are. Knowledge is also knowing that being angry with this situation will not contribute towards the solution at all.

yeah i know what you mean. try to think about what this knowledge will do for you and where it will eventually take you. these kind of things usually all hit me at once then i forget about them or find a temporary answer for them. it helps then sometimes they will pop back up the i remember the way i fixed them.
