Okay, I know this isn't a big deal... Certainly nothing like what some people deal with, but I am getting really tired of the robo calls on my answering machine. I get two or three blank messages on the machine everyday. Usually i leave the phone ringer off so it doesn't bother me so much, but I'm expecting a call and just got two calls from my bank within a 10 minute time span. When the person announces themselves, I just hang up without a word. (it's not likely to be a past due bill as I am obsessive about paying my bills)

I guess what really annoys me is that the robo-calls just seem to emphasize the fact that I don't get calls from friends... Only from people who are trying to get money from me. Sometimes I would really like to not have a phone at all.

Hahaha. Same, only person who ever calls me is my mom, or wrong number / people who want money.

All of my phones are on the National Do Not Call Registry, and I have a Telezapper attached to the phone line, as well.

No more robocalls.

A lot of robo calls are now illegal. You should get caller ID if you don't have it to find out who is calling, place yourself on the national do not call list, and report the perpetrators to the FCC. They have a form you can fill out online on their website and they do take action on this.

I reported a robo caller who was violating the law to the FCC. I received a letter from the FCC stating they had received my report and were addressing the matter and the calls stopped.
I used to get at least one robo call per day and I haven't received any since I filed the complaint many months ago.

Unfortunately the do-not-call database does not apply if you have an existing relationship with the caller. Since it is my bank and their associated businesses who keep calling me, they are not required to respect the do-not-call list. I've considered moving to another bank, but whenever I have in the past, this bank bought up the bank I moved to and I end up with them again.

It's not really a big issue, but I always get really annoyed when I come home to find a number of pointless calls from them.
