at a Mental Health Clubhouse.

All of the NTs who have worked at my Clubhouse have told me to change in one way, or another. There's this one Behaviour Nazi who was telling me to find a new interest. She doesn't want me looking at images of London on the Internet. She wants me to be like her. She wants me to give up on London and the real Double Deckers that I like so much. I'm not going to listen to her! I don't listen to arrogant NT Staff like her. She doesn't want me for a Member. She wants Canada! Though I was born in Canada, I can't do Canada. She wants me to "Fit in and have friends." If that's what it would take for me to "Fit in and have friends", than sorry...I don't want friends off the Internet. If you ever find yourself in my situation, I'd like to warn you not to go to a Mental Health Clubhouse too aften. I'm taking next week off, and than I'll be going to Victoria the week after. After that, I'll only make it,so that I get there, 30 minutes before it's time to go Bowling and leave there within 15 minutes of getting back. I'll also go on the more exciting Weekend outings. If you do spend time at such a place, only plan your time to do your favourite activities and than don't linger around afterwards, if it makes you feel uneasy. I woould also like to remind you not to air your Dirty Laundry in front of a Staff Member who is an obvious NT.

I'm just curious, what is a Mental Health Clubhouse? Does this have anything to do with the socialized medicine they have in Canada?

Also, if your interest is not illegal or dangerous, and someone tells you to get a new one, tell them to piss off. Buses never hurt anyone except by running them over and crashing.

And also having seats that don't have enough room for my very long legs. Hateful public transportation.

And yes, to each his (or her) own.

She should be happy. You COULD have an obsession about bomb making.

Mind you, that would likely help you make friends.

Not neccesarily even the really scary kind :P

A Mental Health Clubhouse is supposed to be a safe place for adults with severe Depressive disorders, and/or a persistent Mental Illness to go and socialize and help out with a few chores to keep the place running. The thing is that they know that you have what they like to call a "Mental Problem" in addition to your Mental Health issues, they forget how old you are, and they try to get you to do things their way. I'm not going there, until we go to Victoria on the 28th, than after that trip, I'll only go there to Bowl twice a month, and two other times, to pick up a Calendar and to go on a Saturday Outing that seems half way decent. Maybe that woman will realize that she's made me really angry. I hate it, when NT Staff try to take away whatever thing about London that I'm obsessed with, at any given moment and attempt to persuade me into being something that THEY want me to be. I usually do the opposite of what those b*****s tell me to do. After yesterdays incident, I've payed off my Bus, and I took it home, and that was the sweetest feeling of all, because I went against that Drill Sergent's wishes.

cool cockney, congrats on the new addition to your collection! being its a mental health clubhouse you would think they would know at least some or at least know anything about autsm and spectrum of disorders related????? maybe to the head or to health or social services of canada maybe u can suggest this site?? wrongplanet.net maybe they will get a clue and be more understanding in some way or another as to why you are soo into the buses??

it is still not your fault that they told you to change yourself as in finding a new interest. they are at wrong here.

that "drill sargent" needs to realize taking away an interest isn't the best thing to do for people who suffer with anxioty depression, autism, or any other disorders. shes not your mom and its really none of her business what you do on or offline.

you didnt do anything illegal to have your rights as a person stripped away from you. everyone has interests.

id see her input about your interest if you were doing something like hijacking a routemaster or doing something against the law with or around them.

i find NOTHING wrong with talking about, and collecting diecast toys of the famous london doubledecker bus.

they are what make you you we all at wrongplanet like you for who you are and find the buses really interesting. even the buses have their own personalities like in the ads on side of the grille on front.

dont let the "drill sargent" get under our skin. she and her other team members have to be more understanding with disabilities and accept the person for who they are not their outsides!! !

also if she still instists in changing you tell the health and human services of british columbia and /or the city of langley. or the editorial section of newspaper never know they might have to change how the behavior of how the staff acts at work.

but still no matter what the laws and rights are of a person in british columbia its still mean of staff to say change your interest.

I've phoned that "Prison" today to tell that woman that I've tried finding a new interest, but it made me miserable, just to give her an answer that she'd be satisfied with and I've told her that I'm going to be living my own life and staying away from the Clubhouse, until the day of the Victoria Outing. Why do Staff feel that they have the right to control their Members, that way? They have it coming to them. They might end up having Grandchildren who are on the Spectrum, and feeling guilty about their wrong doings.

I like how I've payed off my Routie and brought her home, after that woman told me to give the Routemaster a rest. That proves that I truly AM a Cockney Rebel!

wondering, how long has the "drill sargeant" been there for?? also i feel that if shes dictating what people can do or talk about i have a feeling that she will have less and less people at the clubhouse.

sorry if that was not too nice of me. but i feel that maybe if the other members catch on to what was said of her offending you about your interest(london and the routemasters) that they will feel same way and avoid the place and only go to bowling and big trips.

i have a feeling that maybe the staff person "drill sargaent" will get a clue and change her ways of dealing with people.

like i said before theres nothing wrong at all with collecting and talking about buses. go to the beat of your own drummer and dont let her under your skin.

I think that they would.

That Drill Sergent has also been there, for 22 years. I've started going there, 8 years ago.

Cockney, It almost sounds like you dont need that place anymore. You have grown beyond it?

If so, I'd tell her that you took her advice, and gotten rid of an old interest in exchange for a new one, and the old was the clubhouse!

It's true that I don't really need to go there, anymore. I have outgrown it. I'll go for the big events, like the trip to Victoria, the Thanksgiving Dinner, Both the Chritsmas Dinner and Party, and than December 31 can be the date that I tell her.

This is what I'll tell her:

C; I've found a new interest to take the place of my old one, and my old interest is this Clubhouse. That doesn't mean that you won't ever see me, again. It just means that I won't be one of the Regulars and that I'll be comming for the Big Events, such as different Dinners, all day Outings out of town, Dances and Karioke Nights and the Year End Parties. I've had my taste of Freedom and I like that feeling.

I guess that all I can do, now is forget about Tuesday's incident. I'll also tell her the part about the new interest taking the place of the Clubhouse. Of all the people who go there, the Staff pick on me and one other Member, because we're Free Thinkers.

Yes, free thinkers are oppressed everywhere, which is why I'm glad I'm a domesticated thinker.
