To whom it may concern,


You can't come running to me whenever your life isn't perfect. Nor should you drop everything to pick me back up when I fall. I refuse to be that girl. I won't stand for it. I've made my choices, and yes I'll make many more mistakes along the way, but I can take care of myself. I've survived this far, as have you.

No, I don't need you to fix me. I am imperfectly perfect just the way I am. I am not here to appease you, nor am I here to be that other half you just can't have. I will be as civil as I can, but things have changed. Our lives are becoming untangled, and that's okay. I wasn't exactly happy with the way things were anyway. Whether you will admit it or not, neither were you.

I won't try to make your life difficult. I'll learn to live with the fact that I cannot cut you out completely, as will you.

In time, you'll come to see this was inevitable. Not just that, but best for all.
