So last year I saw this boy with AS who was in many of my classes, sitting alone at lunch every day. I decided to sit with him because he looked like he could use some company. As we talked, he told me he had AS, depression, and really bad grades. I offered to help him with homework and talked with him every day, and I slowly developed a crush on him. He doesn't seem to have a crush on me, but I can't really tell. Now here's the thing. We're going completely different directions after we graduate from college, and there's only less than one year of high school left for both of us. Should I ask him out or tell him how I feel?

EDIT: HIGH SCHOOL. We're going different directions after we graduate from HIGH SCHOOL. *double facepalm* XD

Go for it girl! These type of things dont come along often enough. Besides, you've been friends for a while now, so even if he rejects you, the two of you can still be friends.

When I was an Aspie boy his age, I had a very difficult time showing affection.
He might have feelings and just not know how to express them.

My advice is to go for it. Life is short. You have nothing to lose (if he turns you down, then you're still in the same position really). I asked out my first boyfriend when we had only one term of year 12 to go. We ended up going to university in different states and broke up due to the distance, but I don't regret a thing. It was a wonderful life changing experience, even if it was short lived. Just go for it, and let the future take care of itself.
