I cannot cry. No matter how hard I attempt to make myself cry, I simply cannot do it. I am far too apathetic and emotionless.

How often do you cry? Are you an emotional person, or do you struggle to process emotions?

Four times a month.

Almost every day.
I cried multiple times today (stress, and then someone on my floor was chopping onions).
I cry a lot. I can't stop myself from crying, but sometimes I try to hide it when I'm around people.

I tear up at almost every emotional confrontation.

I've actually gained more empathy through the past 7 years, maybe thanks to people saying that I was so cold. So while it used to be impossible for me to cry during any emotional movie, it is possible to now if I relate to the characters on a deep enough level.

But even these are isolated times, I refuse to let anyone I don't trust fully, see me cry.

In numbers.. maybe 3-4 times a year.

Exactly.
When I was a child and an adolescent, I almost never cried, not even as a toddler. So people always told me that I'm like a stone,robot,ice...etc.
I now cry more than I ever used to, especially during emotional confrontations.
Maybe it began after my grandmother died a few years ago, and I "learned" to cry at the most inconvenient situations while I was at grieve.

But all in all I probably cry 3-5 times a year.

Probably once every month or two, but often I am sad enough to cry but don't, so it should be at least three or four times a month.

I would say I cry maybe 4-6 times a year.
I don't cry very often anymore, my anti-depressant has almost completely cut me off from being able to cry. I think of it as both a blessing and a curse.

I like not being able to cry, because I don't like people to see me break down in public. Crying is a really private thing for me, I don't like the vulnerability I used to feel when I couldn't help crying.

But I also can't grieve the same way I used to. Both of my dogs died this year; Ginger died in January and Cinnamon died last month. I wasn't able to cry more than a couple times for each of them even though I felt so incredibly sad to lose them.

I used to be able to cry too easily, now I'm just kind of numb. I just can't quite seem to fall in the middle. One extreme or the other for me.

if some bully attacked me and broke my bones and tore my flesh, i'd cry from pain. but emotionally no mere human can touch me - my heart is protectively calloused from decades of abuse at the hands of the meanies. but i cry when i listen to beautiful music, though [stendahl's syndrome].

There were many years when I didn't at all, then last year my heart got broken and I fell apart, and it's been daily ever since. It's getting to the point where I wonder when I will have a tear-free day. I'm on antidepressants which help some, but I still cry whenever I think of the experience last year. It's my own damn fault, I should have known better, but I'm just not good at getting over things.
