I have been prescribed 20mg Lipitor for several years now and have annual blood tests to ensure my organs aren't protesting too much and that the drug is doing what it is meant to do.
I do not think taking this drug affects me in a negative way.
HOWEVER, my mother was taking half the amount I was taking and her blood tests became abnormal after several years. She was even sent for an ultrasound scan of her organs because the blood test wasn't too good. My mother has now discovered she has an underdeveloped kidney that was causing the renal failure but is now on a 'statin' medication and her blood tests have now returned to normal.

My father is also on a 'statin' rather than the Lipitor which is possibly just as well as he has suffered from kidney stones in the past.

Good: It can lower your cholesterol.
Bad: It can cause muscle weakness and wasting.

Can Lipitor cause tremors? or maybe Metformin?
