My dad passed away on this day in 2007. I did grieve and was really depressed for awhile. I kind of just gave up and did out of character things after he passed away. Every time somebody talked about my dad I'd feel like crying. There are random times when I do feel sad but today I don't feel sad any more.

My sister and brother put up remembrance videos on Facebook, like they did last year and the year before. It's all just very repetitive to me. I haven't said anything about it because I don't feel sad or I don't even feel like I miss him.

I feel weird like I've stop caring or something. I just wonder what makes my sister and brother still miss him after all these years? I just can't get to an emotional point to even feel like I miss him. I was either too emotional when I missed him or just like today, can't feel a damn thing.

4 years ago is a while ago. Maybe you cried all your tears away?
My parents said that when their fathers died their grieving period was up to a year (I think).

My sister and her niece were showing the remembrance video last night. I felt awkward. Maybe I'm too scared to feel sad again because it was so bad before.

^^^that makes sense as you may be compartmentalising the sadness. but also, there's no reason to force yourself to feel sad if you truly feel like you've moved on. i admire that you are honest with your feelings - it's very brave.

(i am sorry to hear about your dad)

I'm sorry about your dad first of all. I also think it's great how time has healed that for you. You don't need to force yourself to feel sad just because everybody else is still grieving.
