counseler sucks

so i go to a private school that costs 110 dollars a day so if i dont wake up in the morning on time i can either pay 55 dollars and go when i wake up or pay 110 dollars and take the day off. so i wake up this morning.... late. and after some debating decide im gonna go look for a job. perfectly reasonable my parents want me to have a job. i need a job to pay for things i want to do, to pay for the days i already missed and its already more than halfway through the day so ill just take it off... MY PERSONAL DECISION!! ! so i call my counseler and ask if she'll help me with what to say and stuff. and she starts calling me a stupid jackass making stupid decisions and being selfish. WHAT THE f**k FOR?!?!?! somebody tell me what i did wrong

if she called you a "stupid jackass", fire her. she should be modeling assertive language and that's NOT it.

Extremely unprofessional behavior. I've been in and out of therapy all my life, and most of my counselors practically ate me. I am now holed up in a bedroom all day most days. They left me with no peace. My parents and I are now in family therapy and and once again the therapist has taken my parents' side and eats me because I don't conform and I actually speak the truth about this world. I think most counselors are on power trips. They enjoy causing the young and vulnrable pain in the name of doing us a huge favor. It gives them a rush!

I agree, you should definitely report her and find a new counselor, It could be that she was having a bad day or a moment and she let those feelings get in the way of her professional job. Personally I think you should at least talk to her first and if she does apologize, accept her apology, however if she isn't remorseful about it or doesn't realize her behavior is unprofessional, you need to make a complaint.
