All I do all day is sit in on the computer, watching TV, doing my homework, or listening to my iPod in my free time, at the weekends, and when I come home from school.

School, and most doctor and dentist appointments is the only ever time I leave the house.

I do this everyday, I never go out much and I really haven't "got a life."

Why?

Well, I'm stuck in a 3 bedroomed house with my mum, 2 sisters and my brother, as my mum and dad are divorced.

Us 4 "kids" with an age range from 8 to 16.

This rules out "Family fun" as it's kinda hard to find something "enjoyable" for a 16 year old, my older brother, me a 15 year old, my sister an 11 year old, and my other sister an 8 year old.

I'm a friend to all (I think) in school, but really have no friends I can "meet up" or "go to the movies with" so that rules out a boosting social life.

I walk my dog every now and then, but suffer a lot of lethargy, as I'm depressed.

I'm lazy, but don't put on any weight when I eat.

My brother thinks I'm "Obsessed" over the computer, and says my depression is just an excuse.

I make contact with "The outside world" with people via MSN as I talk to "just friends"

My only true friend lives far away, and don't go to my school and we are loosely in touch and he's always busy at the weekend.

I'm never invited to parties, and going outs and am usually the one to ask them with a big fact NO as an answer.

I've got nowhere to go and I can't just "go shopping" as I'm not "streetwise" and am vulnerable and not compatible with the "outside world".

I can't really do anything, until I'm older and even then that's too far away to worry about.

Given these facts stated above, be honest with me, would you class me as dull, and boring?

I am just curious, and would like feedback.

I've never met you, so I can't say whether you're boring or not.

Tim

Your life sounds like mine. To make matters worse, I'm 3 times your age. I like what CanyonWind said. "I'm so boring I feel sorry for my dog."

I kinda live like that. My life revolves around my PSP and my PC. and really alot of people cant deal with that. They struggle to understand the PC and my PSP bring me hope everyday of my life.

You are not dull. You sound cool.

That's the opposite of boring.

Well, I kind of think people who DO go out are just as boring as people who don't. All that socialization stuff strikes me as kind of run-of-the-mill.

I don't think you're all that boring. I mean, you're a human being... we're complex creatures. I don't think I've met a really boring person yet. There are just so many possibilities.

As well, your situaton is reminiscent of mine; however, I you seem to have way more dysfunctional family problems and I would never classify myself as a "friend to all" while simultaneously "nobody's friend".

In a conventional sense, you're not interesting. Don't expect the average high school student to want to be your friend.

But from what I have read in no way are you boring.

I don't have much of what NTs would call a life, but I have my own unique life. I have three santuaries that I spend time in. I have my Routemaster Santuary, which is my apartment. I have my Dog Santuary, which is my parent's place, where Chico is. I have my Social Santuary, which is my Clubhouse for the days that I feel very, very lonely. I don't need to go to parties, night clubs and hockey games to feel fulfilled.

You´re not dull, you just have a dull life. Just like me. Most of what NT´s do for fun involves other people. However, for a lot of aspies other people can be dull. Talk about a vicious cycle ! !
