Sigh, i went to my church this morning and it was probably not one of my better days due to my social screw-ups.
Whenever I try to interact with people, I always end up making a loser of myself by breaking some social rule or another. The guys at my church profess to be "christians" but they're really just a bunch of self-righteous hypocrites. They shun me and they talk derogitorily about other aspies so I can hear them. As you can imagine, this really pisses me off. Church isn't the only place where this happens though, it occurs almost everywhere except at home and a few other places. To sum it all up, I feel like I have no where to go without being mocked and bullied by malicious NTs.

man, i feel your pain. there's a couple of people in my church who think i'm rather strange and most likely talk about me when i'm not there. i just forgot about them and remember that dr. seuss quote:those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Just a suggestion:

Maybe you should join a different club or group and forget the church?

I know it seems right but obviously the message isn't getting through to the people at the church if they can't accept those that are different.

That's one of the reasons I stopped going to church. I caught on that I would never find the spiritual nourishment I sought, and that it was just a big club for NT's, using religion as it's excuse. And there was always going to be people who thought I was strange, no matter how hard I tried to just get along. I had to ask myself if any of my needs were being met by going. And the answer was a big, resounding, NO.

And I thought people would actually pretend to be nice at church. I think you should join another church.
