Okay I'm not sure if a topic like this has begun I have seen plethora of supplier group topics under the "haven" section and that is great.. let me introduce myself I'm relativeley new here... I love kids and plan to work with kids in 3rd world countries as a trauma therapist/ counselor... ONE thing I have noticed since I have been here is that us raspiest are a LOT a like andshare same interstate whether that's books, TV shows, or hobbies...
one surprising discovery I have made is that in our little community here we have a good ammount of individuals like.myself who are interested in and studying the field of psychology. This is great and I believe this can become a major asset to our group of misfits here...

WHAT I AM SUGGUESTING IS this topic will become a place under the haven forum where individuals who are having troubles say what is bothering them and one of the aspire here that is studying/ has a degree in psychology will respond and try to give suppourt and potentially advice if needed... the rest of this section is full of aspire helping aspire and anyone can give advice here but I think it would be cool to have a little nook where the psychology enthusiasts can chill, have psychology related debates, and offer their two sense for anyone that is going trying rough patch... :D

I'm pretty interested in psychology. I'm particularly interested in developmental psychology, children, personality traits, behaviour and mental disorders. I have a basic background in psychology.

I love developmental psych.. did key senior exit paper on positive vs negative reinforcement in young children... especially with a focus on developmental stages. Well welcome! ::

I took Early Childhood Education so we learned a lot of things about positive reinforcement and different parenting types as well as what kind of guidance is suited for what age.

I'd be up for it.

I work as one now for a not-for-profit organisation, 3-4 days I work in with clients who have eating disorders or disordered eating which is my main focus now. I create group programs for issues that effect eating disorders but aren't usually dealt with by your average psychologist.

The other 1-2 days are assigned to where ever they need me most, which is usually working with people with Cluster B conditions or with vitcims of domestic violence.
