I'm trying to get back into mental health services at a non-profit clinic after being away for after 90 days. I still have major depression but the worst effects (daily suicide thoughts) were gone. I had to concentrate on school and home stuff so I could not make anytime for the appointments. I'm officially running out of medication. So it was best for me to schedule another intake meeting for me.

Then the sucker punch: The coordinator warned me of a 3-4 week waiting list for meds and 3-4 months for talk/advice therapy. Then I asked "why?" They told me that they were understaffed.

The real question I should be asking the coordinator is what am I suppose to do while waiting three to four weeks for an appointment for a prescription for meds?

As if they expect me to go to a hospital to get any real help.

Seriously, what I'm suppose to do for the next three to four weeks?

You night have to go to the hospital if you can't wait any longer for help. It will probably get you into an appointment faster when you get out.
